Hi everyone, owned my black 73 plate GR86 since September after very reluctantly trading in my 2nd GT86 after 8 years of very happy ownership having kept my first for 5 years too! Love the GR although have to be honest and say I prefer the front of the GT but the extra power and comfort is a daily thrill to experience. I also own a 55 plate MR2 which I’ve owned from new so bit of a Toyota sponsor Since changing to the GR noticed a red one two streets away too. A little concerned our local Snow’s Toyota service centre seems to have dropped their standards with my MR2 so will be watching they are competent with servicing the GR… not sure if anyone has concerns that their local centres are keeping on top of the newer models. Looking forward to being part of the community and hope to spot some of you on the road soon!

Yes clearly you like your Toyota’s. Good effort on the MR2 btw, i can relate as am 10 years into my ownership from new of my MX5 ND, it’s still a fresh today as it was when I picked it up.

Sadly Toyota main dealers are a mix bag like most main dealers these days. There are threads re members experience, some happy to travel to ensure things are done right.

We’re a friendly bunch on here so any questions just ask away. Most importantly, enjoy your GR!

Welcome. Yaris owner but Hampshire based, I’ve had mixed results with snows servicing, sales is the best I’ve had but servicing I gave up and now use a Honda specialist in fleet who services around 5-6 GRY.

Welcome! I'm in Scotland but lived in Whiteley for a couple of years and had the first major service for the GR86 done at the Snow's Sarisbury Green dealership. Couldn't complain about anything, they were helpful getting the ducktail spoiler ordered and fitted and were happy to service using my own oil and filter. It was young lads working on the car but they did a cracking job. I remember a black GR86 sitting in the lot by the entrance for a while, it wasn't that one you ended up getting was it? Happy driving!

Out of interest, which Snow’s Toyota service centre have you been using?

I've had a few scandalous experiences with smaller jobs Hampshire Snows failed me on (and some really awful interactions with their branch for other makes); so, chosen to travel to Toyota Abbey Redhill for everything.
