GR Yaris GRY vs A45 & WRX STI

Please note that the car is RC and claimed weight is 1180kg (wonder what has done there or is RC just that lighter than RZ..?).

RC is lighter from the factory and the majority of the interior is stripped.

Officially the RC is 1‘250kg, so 30kg lighter than RZ, because no Infotainment System.
You won‘t be able to remove 100kg from this car without making it a full blown racecar.

And i measured the weight of everything i took out of the car and put back in…

Yes that's what i thought - its kind of difficult to schred any easy weight off. LW-Battery, rear seats and then its get more difficult.. Wonder where they have gotten that weight figure then, or maybe dry weight w/o fuels etc.

What weight did you get your car down to in "race" trim, Phil?

Not much to be honest.
-25kg Rear Seats
-5kg Wheels
-4kg Recaro PP
+5kg Stern Performance Rear Seat Delete Kit
+5kg IC Air Spray
+2kg 6-Point Harness
+4kg Oil Cooler
-18kg TOTAL

Now with the added cage (+25kg) the car‘s heavier than OEM. 😅

If you‘d make it as light as possible with keeping all the comfort, you could:
-20kg remove passenger seat completely
-15kg lightweight battery

You need the Stern Performance Kit, if you want to be able to transport stuff comfortably.

So if you want to make it a single seater Drag Car, you don‘t need the cage, the Rear Seat Delete Kit, the oil cooler or the IC Spray.
You‘ll end up with about 1‘210-1‘220kg.

And now you‘ll have to start removing stuff like A/C, Infotainment, electric windows etc.

Yeah, I figure I will be around 1250 with everything. Then get back into the gym and lose another 10kg haha 😅

Turn on subtitles. For those wondering about the spring rate the Revolution D2 circuit kit is 18kg/mm front 24.8kg/mm rear. @DrSetup it appears the Japanese tuners agree with Fredrik on spring rate ;)

And wheel alignment...😉

This was in the beginning of this year and since then a 360hp Yaris with 265 Yokohama 052 has done a 58s lap. That's crazy quick for such "low power" car.
