Assuming there is only one VIN number series for the 1.6T.... I'm more inclined to believe the numbers mentioned by Toyota in the 2024 mk2 press release/presentation??

Unless something was lost in translation.... (edit: perhaps sold vs actually produced...)

It has to be sold vs produced. The VIN’s seem to be matching production numbers.

“For as long as emission regulations allow” increases the (today small) likelihood I might get a 2nd one one day… 🙃. Fingers crossed!
 
Fun to see how many Mk2's there will be and what is the allocation as quite many countries have already expressed it would be limited model. marketing or truth - to be seen.

So.... Is there around 28000 made now? and have they actually stopped making the pre facelift (mk1) now?

I think most of UK orders have now been fulfilled. Germany by the looks of things got a lot of orders delayed and are now being built at the end of the pre facelift run. They also have the 300 special editions coming to Celebrate last years WRC win. I am still waiting on my pre facelift to Estonia (Ordered Jan 2023) along with a few more in the Baltics. Mines is approx 1 week away from landing in Estonia (Currently in Malmö, Sweden) after taking 2 months since it left the factory

Run in period is though but it will go over quite fast usually as GR is so fun to drive around, even with moderate speeds. enjoy..!

Honestly I don't know what I am scared of. Someone once told me the VIN could be linked to his activities here and it could cause problems but I don't see it, so here it goes: #26157

Arrived to dealer today, collection probably mid April as I am on a holiday for two weeks.
