GR86 Gr86 Vs BBR MX5

I had to leave over there. It got heated in the range rover forum when I called the latest v8 defender one the worst cars on sale.

PH seems to be heavily populated with JLR staff and I'm surprised they have the time what with all the warranty repairs they have to carry out.

Did anyone else spot the interior shot of the dash?

Looks like the car has hill-start assist. Not essential, but a nice-to-have option.

I've obviously become immune to PH comments, I thought they were on the whole, actually pretty positive for once :ROFLMAO:
I was going to say the same thing. Thats probably the best comments thread I've seen for while.
And another one: For me, as good as the GR86 no doubt is, I think I would still struggle to choose it over one of several mid-engine Porsches from the 986, 987 or 981 generations (take your pick).

Yeah for me as good as several mid engined Porsches are, I'd struggle to choose one over a detached house, the new Arctic Monkeys album and a medium-rare steak dinner.
Hmmm, I don't think it's clear cut, I've driven a 981 and thought the driving experience in the GT86 was better, plus 2 seats. Engine was phenomenal though.

Why? It's genuinely useful and otherwise unobtrusive?
I got that on my aygo and my terminators mazda. Its often too slow and the car "hangs"/does not take off as fas as i want. (which usually is not fast, specially in the aygo)

Me too. I have it on my van and every time it kicks in it feels like I've left the handbrake on! I honestly don't see the point of it. Do people really need help to perform hill starts?! I must be a luddite.
I've been driving manuals for years, so I don't really "need" it, but as long as it doesn't get in the way, I've no objection to it making things a bit easier. FWIW, I had the previous gen GT86, and before I made some modifications to the clutch pedal, it had a bit of a vague clutch engagement, and I can think of a couple of times where a steep hill start was a bit tricky; I'd have taken this feature then.

From what I understand it's basically just built into the ABS module and holds brake pressure for a few seconds after releasing the pedal.
