GR86 GR86 Toyota Mud Flaps and alternatives

I sent a list of extras and part numbers to my local dealer to gauge prices and timescales compared to ordering from abroad… Mud flaps should be available towards the end of September but still no pricing.

Nice one, I was contemplating a set then thought they are so small I can't see them making any difference at all.

I thought for the price they were worth ordering - easy to fit/remove.

Some people rave about the difference they make and they are quite angular and stylish.

Worst case I'll sell them on.

I think I might want the front mud flaps as they'll protect the car quite a bit though may fit them myself. The rears I need to offer up to the car as they look a bit bulky/ugly to me...

How did the posters above get on with these? They looked clunky on a white one I saw. I’m tempted to order and just fit the fronts. The rears look clunky.

I had an email from TOL on Friday telling me that Mud flaps are currently out of stock.
I added them as extras but if they are out of stock i'll order and fit myself.. Toyota charge £50 for fitting which I'd decided to bite the bullet and pay but now i've seen the video i'd rather fit them myself and spend the £50 on a nice lunch with SWMBO :)

These look good

They're not the prettiest items but I only put the front ones on, really not a fan of the rear ones they stick out too much, front ones Im ok with just about but should help through winter especially.

Fairly understated.

I've had the full set fitted for a few months now, but I do agree the rears look a little clunky. They also don't seem to sit fully flush to the rear bumper, so I am thinking of removing them. I'll keep the fronts though...I think if nothing else they will protect the leading edge of the sill from getting pepper with gravel. Whereas the rear bumper in less worried about, it being plastic.

Just ordered some - now available to order through dealers for £116 inc vat supply only.

Part number: PK38918N00TP
I was going to order them and fit them myself (simple) but SWMBO said “for the sake of ~£40 just let the dealer fit them”

Amazing as she can normally peel an orange in her pocket 😋

Mine look flush, might need to tighten them mate.

Personally, I quite like them, IMO they fit right in with the rear bumper.

I offered up the guard as a guide when drilling but perhaps I wasn't holding it snugly enough, so now even though they're screwed in tight, they're a little cock eyed. Not hugely noticeable, but not as close fitting as yours there.

They aren't bad, I just kind of like the way the rear valance tapers in, so from the rear if gives the impression of a wider tyre and track. You lose that a little by adding the mudguard.

I like those, wish I'd got them instead of the Toyota ones, but I've got used to them now :)

They look like they might actually be better than the OEM ones as they don't encroach on the bodywork. One downside I found with the pervious gen was that mud and filth would build up inside between the guard and the bodywork, and if you never checked it, I wondered if corrosion might set in behind the mudguard that you wouldn't notice.
