GR86 GR86 - Interesting idea on number plate mounting

I’m sure this will stimulate a lot of debate but it’s an interesting read. From personal experience of using magnets on my bikes I’ve never lost one over thousands of very bumpy miles.

This is something I wanted to do on my BRZ, but unfortunately the UK spec BRZ has massive holes if you remove the number plate mount so it looks stupid.

One of the guys with a GT did it to his, after he had his bumper filled, it's definitely a good system:

Over the weekend I managed to find some time to visit Mabel Coachworks to have my new MagSign and number plate installed. It was about time because I bought the MagSign kit several months ago and never had the time/opportunity to get this done. I also needed a new number plate as the heatwave...

This video shows the mount spot on the new BRZ, and the 'host' also mentions that Toyota did the same, just lower down. Its at about 7:30 in this video:
