Picked mine up on Saturday. Love it. Actually managed to get all four of us in it too! (My kids are 15 and 17, so no mean feat!). They couldn't wear shoes though!

I picked mine up 4/8 having ordered on the 26/6. Took it straight for detailing and a few bits of PPF. Now 1200+miles in and loving it. Really struggled to choose colour with electric blue not being available, but glad I went with the red! Very similar to Porsche Guards Red to my eyes anyway!

Nice. But you've somehow managed to take a photo of your 86, where the 86 isn't the best looking car in the photo.

The GR86 is the best value though and arguably as pretty.
Emira pricing is crazy. The 4 cylinder was expected to be £59995, it's now £81k!

The GR86 is a cohesive, coherent shape with a certain honesty about it.
The Lotus, as excellent as I'm sure it is to drive, looks like they wanted to copy a Ferrari OR a McLaren, and couldn't decide which.
PS @Gordo_Dave forgive me, how rude - I forgot to say how fantastic your car looks.

My dealer rang me this morning after I sent an E-Mail to Toyota Buy Online so will go pick up after work today if I finish early. Seems the communication between buy online and dealer is non existent.
My dealer has been fantastic though so no complaints really. After all we are guinea pigs for the Toyota Buy Online experience.
That is a mad price for the Emira though. Even a list GR86 with TRD brake kit and a turbo kit would be around 45k. Not to mention it is about 200kg lighter! I thought the whole ethos with Lotus was light weight.

I had an order in for an Emira but cancelled a couple of months ago. I loved the car, but it went up £6k after ordering and the finance rate also shot up to 9.4% making the car completely unaffordable. It's brilliant to drive and lovely to look at but the GR86 is just as fun for a third of the price, though it's not as fast. I don't regret my decision at all.

Also picked up the car after PPF and coating, looks amazing.
He wrapped the sills and behind the rear wheels also. It's and XPEL template.

I had my call from Toyota Online earlier, looking at a November delivery unless I get a cancellation.
Did you have the full front quarter done? I'm liking the idea of adding the sills and rear arches to my booking requirements when my GR86 lands in November.
The material is way more expensive than 'wrap' so Xpel PPF comes as a pattern, which also makes it a little easier for the installers and creates less waste. A small strip along the boot loading area is £100 alone, so you can see why a whole car can cost upwards of £5k. Things like the bonnet though are wrapped around as it's a stressed edge.

He did the sills and rear arches in the price of the front end only, so it was good value.
I reckon they may have had to plot it out with the rest of the template, so decided to fit it anyway.

Well I have cancelled my order (grey) and will be picking up a used car (white) instead from a forum member.
Saves a few £ and I get a car that’s already run in, has PPF and some other little extras that I wouldn’t otherwise have been able to buy.
The 7hr drive home will be fun…
