I guess it depends on who picks up the phone at TOL as to what we are told. Think I'll just adopt the 'it'll be here when it's here' approach as it's clearly impossible to get a consistent answer out of them. Having said that, I really hope you're right!!

I'm a 10.42 order and when I spoke to TOL yesterday they were 'hoping' for a summer delivery but reckon it will be 5-6mths to delivery from when we go into build and wouldn't give any guarantees. On that basis can't see April being feasible for us 10 40ers.

I’m your twin, 10:42 time wise.

Dealer says Easter, TUK on line have said nothing.

As already mentioned your order build to in hand time seems pretty wide. My understanding is its in the 10 week time frame, build started / shipping / landing / delivery to dealer.

So if Easter is viable I’d expect to see a build status in the next 3/ 4 weeks 👍

That looks amazing in artificial light. I'd loved to have seen that colour in real life before ordering, it was almost my choice but some seemed quite purple in the early photos coming from the States in bright sunshine.
 
Some guesswork by someone on here suggested the Grand Legacy was carrying some cars possibly (mine included maybe) and vesselfinder is showing it queuing about to go through the Suez.

(I promised my self I wouldn't start stalking sodding boats😬)

I received my email from Toyota yesterday about drive-home insurance - not sure why so early given I'm not picking up the car until March. Anyway, their link doesn't seem to want to provide a quote - I keep getting the following message. Did anyone else have any issues, if so, how did you solve it?

I didn't have any problems doing this last year with the GRY.

I'm having problems with links on their site, very hit and miss.

Trying to do a PX valuation, they are being rather unhelpful. Unsurprisingly their communication is piss poor, as it has been from April.

Really want the car, its there waiting at the Dealers. I'm literally at the mercy of Toyota Online now. Maybe if I wait till 2024 when they have got everyone's car delivered except mine they will have time for me. :)
 
Some pics post collection yesterday. I had the Toyota ProTect done, supposedly a ceramic coating but my guess is its a spray on wipe off type rather than the pro stuff. There were still some of the sticky plastic edge lines on the roof and boot which was dissapointing, this was resolved but added almost an hour to handover while I waited. Its shiny but they waivered the charge for the coating so worked out well in the end. I was mainly interested in the inside protection it comes with rather than the outside as I'll happily do that myself....
Anyway car home, was going to take it out for a drive last night but it was already -5 and figured I didnt want to coat it with salt on the first day!

The next port of call after the Suez (which it left today (17 Jan) is Sagunto in Spain (then due Portbury 27th Jan). From an aerial view of that port it looks like there are tons of cars there - would this ship unload Toyotas for Spain and then take on Seat etc for it's next point of arrival or don't they work like that ?

Congrats on your delivery! How much did Toyota ProTect cost out of interest?

Finally got this working somehow - the annual quote came out at £1,836.98!!! :oops: Looks like I'll be looking elsewhere for my insurance.

For those that have gone through this process before, do you get an email confirmation regarding the 3-day cover? I haven't received anything apart from the saved quote above. Not sure if I am meant to see anything or if the info goes silently to Toyota Online.

Same thing happened with me - no confirmation of 3 day insurance was shown online for me - only an exhorbitant quote.. I informed Toyota online of the same, after which they manually pulled up my 3 day insurance cover confirmation, which they said they otherwise couldn't see in the system.

They did me a deal of £300 down from £600 as thats the most I said Id pay. in the end free as there were still the sticky lines from the plastic protection which to be fair to the valet guy you couldnt really see under artifical light but very clear in daylight.
Still i'll be going over it with my own stuff at the weekend and making sure nothing is missed :)
