GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

How are you tracking the ship. I downloaded an app but it’s not updating very often last time was 23rd of Dec.

Also how do you find out what ship the car is on?

I found that Marinetraffic.com seems to be more accurate. But not sure what the earlier orders used.

I rang Toyota to ask about how delaying registration for 23 plate works and I asked if they had shipping details.

If you’re wondering they still release the car to dealer, so you can get spoiler etc fitted while you wait for March registration.

How long do you need . You could say you want 23 plate after all the waiting

Few months maybe. I'll see how this weekends test drive goes.

Only issue really is the fiesta i got a few months ago, I think I'll be down about 3k since its on pcp. Not the end of the world

Just been sent photos of my car from the dealer this morning, with the duckbill spoiler fitted. Collection will be the first week of Jan.

Mine was due in December, but I wasn't in a position to collect just yet. I asked for a delay to March, which doesn't seem to have been a problem.

That’s just a holding deposit. I’ve now paid the remainder of the finance deposit.

I have my gr86 auto handed over today finally, with a 3 month delay since it’s arrival in U.K. Nicely washed by Reading garage. Received the bamboo case and the isso toy
Will leave order threads now and move on to living with the car threads. Thanks for all of your support during the purchase process.

MyT updated for me on 28th Dec to 'arrived at retailer' .... yay , finally .
Contacted retailer to confirm this but sadly Toyota playing tricks again and the car was still on the transporter and (hopefully, maybe, possibly) due to actually be delivered on either the 5th or 6th due to New Year holidays etc.
I wasn't actually too bothered since I was out of the country anyway and wouldn't have been able to collect until 1st week of Jan at the earliest, just thought it was so ironic and in keeping with the continual disappointment of the entire process. As I keep telling friends and family when they ask me about the car "I will believe it when I'm finally sat in the car and driving away from the dealer" .
Wonder if Toyota Online were being extra sneaky with a box ticking exercise to demonstrate they were hitting end of year targets ... oh, how cynical of me ..

Picked up my Electric blue manual this afternoon.

Loving it so far. It feels like a limo compared to my previous 993. Pleasantly surprised with the whole infotainment setup...very slick.

I've done about 50 gentle miles so far...too wet to start pushing it just yet.

Had a bit of a scare to see parts of the engine bay covered in green fluid but from reading other threads this seems to be done kind of anti corrosion grease so all good.
