GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Collected and sold mine today for a moderate margin over RRP. Sad I couldn't keep but can't have everything. Been a pleasure being part of this community and hope everyone collecting their cars has a great time with them :)
 
Was that a private buyer or a garage? Just wondering if it will pop up on autotrader

Mines black, was delivered Friday, i was there Saturday to sort the part ex but the cars go to the Hainault centre for prep so I couldn’t see it in the metal

Thanks for the info, must enquire about this.
I presume the service plan is tied to the dealer, and that you can't take it to another toyota garage at service time?

To update my previous post. I've now been told there is still a "first batch" of 50 cars which should've been delivered in the last few days but, with a small number of exceptions, this hasn't happened. Online retail say they don't know why. So those who've got cars are very lucky - I think I'd be checking your wheels are bolted on properly and there's oil in your sumps though :ROFLMAO:

Hahaha.. I got that same email from Marshalls Gatwick a couple of months ago. I sent it on to Martin ( the ex GR man there and now with Lexus). He said that he forwarded it on to the sales manager at Marshalls explaining that I do have a car on order. I didn't hear any more.

I also got the same email from the Peugeot dealer in Crawley (also Marshalls) after testing a car there. In that case it was correct as I much prefer my little 208 over the 308.

We will probably get the same email again after test driving the GR86 and not placing an order!! That will be another that I will send straight back to them with a suggestion to "go check your records" !!
 
I was told my car would be there on Friday, and no luck. I have already paid, sorted the driveaway insurance.

I called Toyota Online and they said "it'll be there in the next two weeks". They couldn't tell me why apart from they do an inspection before sending the car out.

Turns out it takes longer to move around 50 cars with flat batteries than they thought!

Sad you‘re leaving , however you did make a small piece of History on the Timeline, the new owner is more than welcome to fill the vacancy at # 71 on the Owners List if they wish to join us 👍
 
Hmm.

My friendly local Toyota representative (shotgun ride mentioned in my recent test drive experience) rang me yesterday evening and left a message saying he was expecting my car in a "couple of days".

I haven't had any correspondence relating to part exchange or payment, so the key question is:

Should I get excited, or not?
