Not able to inspect element whilst I'm out the house but I'm praying my delivery date hasn't moved from today too...

Spoke to Toyota online again. My car has been here since August.
Apparently I am in the first batch but they are still saying they dont have an ETA for me other than towards the end of December.
Had a bit of a moan asking why mine is taking so much longer when others who seem to be in the country less time than mine seem to be getting imminent dates but got brushed off with the will let you soon as we can.
My dealer is literally less than 100miles from Derby, I should have just offered to pick it up myself!

Just spoke to the online team. They said they were told cars would be delivered in order, hence telling me mine would be last Friday. Someone (they wouldn't tell me who) has decided that is no longer the case.
So if you've been told you were in the first batch and your car hasn't turned up this is why. Expect it some time late December. Maybe. I need to decide what to do now
Appalling, but not unexpected. I'd be livid at that.
Also just got off the phone with them, car was due to be delivered on the 2nd now it’s looking unlikely it’s going to be this week at all.
Seems to be the fault of the team who are doing the updates and PDI’s at Derby. I’m furious but no point taking it out on the Buy Online team as they aren’t physically doing it themselves. Fingers crossed it is by the end of this week, whilst I’m happy to see people’s cars arriving it doesn’t make it any easier to see the updates!

I just got off the phone with them and was told the aiming date for the car to go into build is next March.

When I had my test drive Friday, the chap at the Toyota Dealer told me if you dont have the car by 20/12 then it'll be January as the team who do the registrations of new cars / admin / back office etc etc are not in from 20/12 - 3/1... I really want mine by 17/12 so I can spend some of my 2 weeks off detailing etc. (and driving!)

Still not had part ex valuation or any invoice to complete but someone said that's not until it arrives there which is fine. No reg yet and a dealer who still insists they don't see things their end.
I'm trying hard to stay positive and calm as none of this I can control. Once this is over I hope they look into how this went.

I've had another call from the dealer today confirming pickup tomorrow and I've had confirmation of the drive away insurance starting tomorrow.
However, even now I am sceptical. I keep checking the reg on the gov.uk tax checker website and see "Vehicle details could not be found". I've got the awful feeling I'll turn up at the dealer tomorrow and something wont have been done and I won't be able to take the car or something. Ever the pessimist.

It’s ok I can’t wait for the “survey” which they will send out.
The whole process has been awful, delays don’t bother me. Lack of information on what is causing the delays is now pissing me off.
For January pickup, TGB told me earliest would be 5 or 6 Jan as people at garages are generally off etc. He did not want to give me any hope at all. He said no ETA on his system. I was initially told to be first batch. Paid, 3 day insured and waiting for next steps etc. at the moment.
Zero clarity over what the issue preventing these deliveries is, have raised a complaint.
They don't seem to chasing a resolution, just raising tickets saying what's happening.
In my work life this is a pick up the phone then go sit on persons desk situation until you get an answer about what's happening and what needs to be done to resolve it.

The deliveries will be very much dependant on dealer. It makes no sense for Toyota to send one car on a transporter where they have 7/8 cars loaded on there. If I remember correctly, all Toyota's go to Darby before being sent to dealers, ao whenever there are 7 or 8 cars are ready for a dealer, they'll get sent out then.

Mine only started being found on the DVLA website today. I was in the car on my drive when I checked it and was amused it wasn't there, but I guess there must be some what of a delay between it being registered and being on the database.
Fair enough. Might be worrying unduly then.
I was also trying to add it to my Dart Charge account while I remembered (sod's law I'd forget to do it then just drive through the Dartford tunnel and get a fine). And it doesn't find the car by the reg there either, but you can at least add it manually.
I took the money out for December, I do hope I get the car this month. I will be pissed if I miss another £25 win....

So mine was due at dealers last week, so I paid, it didn't arrive, spoke to TGB online today, they advised its been fully pdi'd but is in Derby pending dealer transport..... really can't make this stuff up.
