GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

I realise I have spent the last six months moaning about communication but the online team have actually been good in the last couple of days. They've answered queries very quickly, they've told me when my car is scheduled to be at the dealer and that I should be able to collect in during the following week. I wonder if the new Director of Customer Service is already having an impact?

Because I've gone and financed another car recently thinking I'd see it April '23 ish which is a complete waste of money, probably a loss of about £4k in the space of ~4 months looking at it. I'd of bought my old car out of its finance if I thought I would see the GR86 this year.

To be fair I might have a cancelled order, or it might sit in Derby for 6 months as appears to be the mandatory requirement for GR86's so far...

Silver manual? I would happily swap places if we could. I’m back of the queue so 2024 delivery.

I’m looking for an inbetween car to keep me occupied until it arrives.

You've got to be joking. Few months ago I'd of been extatic about this but I'm absolutely gutted.

Was literally in processing earlier this week.

Thanks a lot Toyota, you truly are a disgrace
Did you receive an email too with the updates, or just through the My T app ?

Yeah. I'll try get a test drive I think as that'll determine what I do next.

Initially I didn’t want a test drive but the unresponsive online team (no responses to my email on insurance and my concerns about holiday arrangements in December) made me go and test drive next week. The idea is to fill the time with something hopefully positive to look forward to.

Yeah that’s what he told me when I spoke with him on the Thursday. Seemed a nice chap, had a positive first call. But gone downhill from there.

I’ve just given up trying to arrange a test drive anywhere it’s too much hassle.

The fact it was meant to be on the road Sat 19th and still isn’t I just can’t understand.
Just in case it makes you feel any better I've had the same experience at Macklin Glasgow.

Such a shame as experience started off so well. I can’t understand it, I have my own business and if I treated customers or potential customers in the way dealers are behaving I wouldn’t have very many left.

Just finished the test drive at Hills of Woodford. The clutch needs getting used to, but apart from that it’s quite a nice car to drive!

Whilst waiting for a mooch around a GR86 today, happened to see someone collecting their GR Sport "big thing" and saw there was an Issho! Forgot we'll get that little fella (y)

I am forwarding this straight to my dealer. I want one (to give to my nephew obviously).

I’ve got that tomorrow, did they go with you or let you out alone?
I went with my boyfriend, so Leigh the representative left us alone. He even suggested me to go on Epping New Road in Epping Forest for a countryside drive! I just did a short drive between Snakes Lane and the dealership to get a feeling of the car in town

That's class, I'll be devasted if I don't get that with the new car now lol

I have my test drive at the same dealership, I was wondering what colour they had in!
