GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

In order to get a plate, they need to be registered. Customer cars will be registered to the customer. They're not gonna give a customer a brand new car when they're the second owner of their own new car lol. Don't panic.
Don’t worry, they will be sold as used cars ! Also, here’s some interior picks for you all

Jesus, really?
She was adamant it wasn’t due until January at the earliest! 🤣
Now I remember why I didn’t put them as my hand over dealership! Might pop up there later for a look though.
Ok, I can promise it's there! Just went down on the off chance with my 6 year old. I've got a test drive Monday but they were able to open it up for us to sit in.

I have a real dilemma now as the 6yo will absolutely not be happy in the back. She's too low down and the window is too small. She told me to buy the yellow one as she can sit in the front!

The test drive needs to be very good now.

First Impressions... Feels a very nice, snug cabin to be sit in. Like the seat and driving position, actual quality of the interior felt nicer in the Yaris.

what dealer was that?

That's Bracknell
I literally went and sat in my car but saw on the other thread that it is was in the workshop so didn’t go down 🤣 never mind!
Hmm worrying about you daughter as my boy is 5… maybe with the booster he will be happy but unfortunately for him, he will need to suck it up I ditched the GT after I gave up getting him in his baby seat!

What colours are all the Bracknell Massive getting? (Just wondering what I'll be seeing on my travels...)

I'm Smurf/Electric Blue in deference to my midlife crisis, and rebelling against years of grey and silver cars 😉

I expect most kids will just get on with it, as long as you can put the front passenger seat forward so their feet fit! For me, this car / the Yaris / Cayman that went in the summer are largely about enjoying cars and driving with my little one and she's got used to being treated like a queen sitting in the front :ROFLMAO: (that is a non-starter on the 86 having studied the manual). When the 2nd kid starts showing an interest im really stuffed!

@GRavel Trap I'm getting pearl white, same as my GRY but the blue looks great!

Magnetite Grey for me but I have not entered build yet. Any idea how many are going to Bracknell?

Nice, thanks for sharing. How did the Electric Blue look in the flesh? It's the colour I've ordered, but the tone seems to look different in every picture I see!

Magnetite grey for me, not sure when mines going to arrive as I'm still in the "processing order" phase ☹️

Had a test drive this morning at stoneacre in Gateshead with the ever so helpful Richard. Second test drive of the day apparently.
Despite the unfamiliarity I could tell it is great on a mixture of motorway and tight lumpy b-roads. I kept misjudging corners as it does what you ask it to do immediately not after the delay of my current car.
Power felt good, nice engine noise from 4k onwards but surprisingly quiet below that. Road noise quite loud depending on the surface but feels like it will do motorways with no problem, but you will want to find the twisty ones.
Only twenty minutes, with the dealer in the car and in slightly greasy conditions and me concentrating on getting the basics right so I didn’t actually spend a lot of time looking about the interior but first impressions were better than I expected, my 5ft10 son even squeezed in behind the passenger (with compromises from both parties). But…. I can’t wait ‘til mine arrives in January

I'd be very happy with it. It was a dull day, in fading light, next to a bright yellow Supra but still stood out nicely. Sure it'll really pop in the sun!

Very interesting- I was waiting to see if someone can travel in the back for short distances- my son is also 5ft10 and we will have 3 of us in the car (on the rare occasions when the main family car is being used elsewhere). Was the front passenger squashed with this set up?

It was ok in the front passenger seat, cramped but not uncomfortable so

Kidlington one? I rang them last Thursday and they said the demo has not arrived yet and need a few days to prepare apparently🤔
Yes. It arrived late Friday will be through pdi Monday morning and I'm booked in for 2pm. Call and speak to Douglas he will sort you out with a drive 👍

The electric blue looks fantastic in person! It gets better in the evening or on gloomy days as it is the only object on the road that can put a smile on everyone’s face even if they are not in the drivers seat. That is the vibe we got today.

With the GT86 I have (had) isofix booster seats. I had to import them from Germany. They are solid and they become part of the car and elevate the children from those dark miserable back seats. They are not bulky. Funny my kids loved it at the back as the rear window does throw quite a bit of light ( a bit like a panaromic roof) when sitting at the back. May be because one of them loves sports cars and go carting hence happy even at the back 🤣 they are looking forward to the heated front seats now.

That's good, it looks stunning in the sunlight but was worried about how it looked when dirty and gloomy.
