GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

14th November for me too.

I might change colour then change it back again, at least I'll get a new car then rather than one that's been sat getting sh*t on for 5-6 months.

As a ”10.35“, I’d be more than happy to get mine March/April 2023 🤞
+1 And as an added bonus at least they won't need to be "fixed" in Derby they will be fully built from the factory :ROFLMAO: (sorry couldn't resist))

My EDD has also moved to 16/11/22.

At this rate it looks like Toyota is trying to move more and more cars to be released at the same time.

I would have no problems with this if it was communicated to us upfront and cars that are sat for weeks or months outside without any protection were guaranteed to get a professional detail (not the usual dirty towel microscratches treatement). The communication from TUK is difficult to describe in words as it's been pretty much non-existent post the initial calls, that didn't even give us any reliable info.

I'll be honest, 95% of excitement of getting the car has gone at this point, as we won't be able to really enjoy it when eventually collecting it in the Winter '22/23. Detailing the car is gonna be a real pain too.

Mine moved from 13st Oct to 14th Nov as well.
Guessing mine will be the same. Can’t be bothered to check, currently abroad. But that date does cause me issues as my current lease goes back 2nd Nov. Might have to be a change of colour for me and buy something else for 12 months or so.

Mine's moved to 16/11/22 too. I put the holiday in but boss is off so I'll take it back to reschedule but I'm running out of dates. If we're into December we can't book then.

There seems to be more sourness with every bit of news.
- 12 weeks from order to delivery, then it wasn't
- No ducktail, buy it elsewhere for £500
- No clarity on full spec when even their own brochures contradicted each other.
- Hardly any comms and a flaky app (although I do get comms when email directly)
- Service costs jumping a massive amount. £300 for an oil change and for a YTS to lie about pad and tyre levels is a joke.
- Cars sitting either in Derby or at the docks getting dirty. No doubt to be washed down by someone who scratches it.
- No idea why they are sitting there, only speculation. Possibly yet another spec change.

Getting it in September I'd be fine with, October is pushing it but if into November/December then detailing it becomes a pain in the arse, dealing with the cold, wet and hopefully not salted roads. Any longer and I may as well say I'll have it in March 23.

This date has fluctuated for me before, even once saying 3rd Nov briefly pre-build (and was on a Friday too) so all we can hope is it drops back to October again. I'm not buying any bits for it until it's physically on my drive.

I'd say I shouldn't have checked the dev-tools but my dealer even emailed me last week to say it would arrive in October 😵‍💫

Getting sick of this but there's no other car I want to put the money in to...

I reckon everyone whose cars have been here since May/June should email the TGB Directors (not the online team) suggesting:

1) Cars are professionally detailed prior to delivery to get rid of 5-6 months of contaminants/sh*t.
2) Servicing is offered at the price available in July when we should should've received our cars.
3) Anyone who agreed a trade-in price with a GR Centre based on the GR86 arriving in July should have that price honoured regardless of how many more miles the trade-in car has covered since.

That’s a fair shout. Have a horrible feeling after that many months sat outside through the recent heatwave, it’s going to be evident when the protective film comes off.

I’m racking up the miles in a new loan CHR I was given when mine went from delivery in July to delayed…..

if it’s late November I’ll wait till Jan, presumably they’ll need to resubmit approved finance etc?

what a mess and the lack of transparency is astonishing.

I put a holding deposit down on a Type R a few weeks ago. Was told it would be late 2022/early 2023 delivery if I manage to get an allocation. Wonder if they’ll be on U.K. roads before the GR86?

It’s annoying me to the point I can’t be arsed anymore, to keep your ten year warranty you have to pay the higher service costs and can’t modify the car. If I love the facelift i30N tomorrow I’m ordering one, I had three trouble free and enjoyable years with my last one and miss it massively.

I am massively tempted by the i30N, if I don’t get a Type R that’s top of my list.

Brilliant cars, loved my pre facelift and the newer ones with the twin scroll turbos are said to be dyno testing at more like 290-300. My mate has a facelift with the RPM performance GPF delete and it sounds awesome.

Took my mother in law to buy an i10 and they had one in the showroom. Had a good look around while she did paperwork etc and was surprised with the quality. Cockpit felt a lovely place to be in. The N performance sounds lovely. My cousin is a fleet mechanic for a large company and they have a couple on the fleet, he said they are amazing.

Local garage offering a good deal too 😬🤔

Yep date has moved to 14/11 now, starting to get concerned there’s something seriously wrong with them
What makes me a little suspicious is that it's just a whole month added on. Makes me thing that perhaps there might be an indefinite delay, and that at the beginning of October they might just push it back another month. Which would be easier to bear if they would just let us know what the delay actually is.
