I have emailed from original order email to see if i get an update from Toyota directly.. Watch this space..

Yeah I'm sure it's fine. Loads of people in the same boat.
BTW I'm just down the road from you in Chorley. Good to know there will be another GR86 not so far away!

I think the "2" orders is the same as the rest of us. It's the weird way they add cars to an account. I had "2" for my GRY and the same this time for my GR86. They are like page 1 and page 2 I think. Click one and go forward or back and they should be showing different details relating to one order.

Yes exactly like this , page 1/2. Page 1 is the order, page 2 is the VOT just showing as processing. Strange as the guy from preston said he had a GR yards and just had the one order. Maybe they changed the way they do this now on the site. Good to know whough so thanks !

Well, we did all (well the official orders and not the early GRogue ones) order within 90mins of each other, so it’s only fair…
 
They will be reading this thread with their feet up laughing at our suffering

Give it a few more days till they get bored again, decide to do some work and start releasing build slots for us.
 
I still think you cars are also blocked by the recall.

Everything else makes no sense.
Every day a car stands on a lot, costs money.

Mine arrived with the heroic leader a few days ago. It's also blocked.

So why should uk cars not be affected?
They should have the same brake cylinder als LHD cars...


All EU cars are blocked by the recall, yours are there but also blocked for unknown reason. So it's pretty obvious...

By way of update, I got a call from TUK yesterday to discuss timing and to confirm the retailer where my car will be delivered. A few things of note/takeaways:

1. There has been no news on recalls
2. Timing for delivery is on track for my car (i.e. mid-July)
3. Timing is subject to capacity/scheduling for delivery trucks and personnel at Derby where the PDI is done
4. TUK will deal with payment/finance closer to time of delivery
5. They have been inundated with GR86 callers but have other cars to deal with as well but a small team of handlers
6. Owners will be notified as and when they have news. Not sure if that means they will keep you updated if they have none. My feeling is they have been let down by Toyota HQ in terms of scheduling and putting builds into the system for UK orders and have limited info to update customers further along the queue
7. They did say I was lucky to have a car allocated and built so quickly so guess beyond maybe the first batch of early orders (presumably as they had bandwidth to process before the madness started) the rest is going to be a bit random.
8. It feels like I speak to the same core group of guys at the call centre which suggests there are not a lot of staff to deal with the entire online order book.

To be fair to the team, the service I've had has been spot on but I appreciate that's not much help for others on here.

The car has been in Derby for just over a week now. I was expecting it to be there for two weeks (in line with the GRY). TUK did say mid late July but I think that might be under pressure now given what else I've been seeing on this forum. It sounds like there is a bigger issue with cars being held back across Europe. One guy has had his at a Swiss dealer waiting for Toyota HQ to release it but nobody has confirmed if this is a Europe wide issue or not. I don't think the delay is to do with fitting speed limiters by the way as that rule doesn't affect this car as it was introduced before the July deadline.

I thought the UK was giving further thought to this and that no ruling or decision had been made as yet? Thus, it can't be speed limiter issues holding up UK cars.
 
Spoke to my dealer today he said they aren't able to give accurate estimates and to go by what Toyota says.

When the dealer gets the car they will agree a pickup date with me, confirm it with Toyota then job done.

Approx 5 working day turnaround at the dealer and they confirmed no one will be driving it apart from me.

Yes. That too. But even if they had aligned with Europe the GR86 wouldn't need to have the speed limiter installed as it was already type approved before the deadline.
 
So I tried following the guide and could not find the information (even by searching the results).
I thought this might be due to no dealer information on my order details.
I emailed my dealership, they said they could not even see my order.
I phoned online sales and they confirmed they had the dealer as Bracknell and that they would call them to sort it. The helpful guy I spoke to said my car would arrive next year.
Later that day I had an email from the dealership to say they can now see it and the delivery date is the 19th of August.
So hopefully that is correct and my 6MT Ice Silver will arrive around then.
Not confident though TBH.
 
Fingers crossed. I'm with Bracknell as well and work in Wycombe quite a bit so keep an eye out for a white one around the same time!

ETA: Dev tools no longer showing mid-July final delivery date for me. Has gone to 1900-01-01 as per the others
