GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Mine has updated to 'in transit' too. Still want the test drive, though before committing, not sure when that's going to happen.

Uhm guys? What is going on here? 😅
My order went to built status last week and now it showed up in country overnight?!

My T indicates that my 10:04 order has just been delivered to Derby.

ETA still showing as 17 October. At this rate it's going to take twice as long for it to travel from Derby to Cambridge as it did to get here from Japan!

10:04 here, still in Processing. There go Toyota's claims of a logical ordering process that don't take paint choices and random dice rolls into account. :D
Yeah true. My 10.04 went into build last week and is still there. Then lots of people with later orders went straight to "In Transit". I'm guessing there's a lot of variability and unreliability of the status updates though, so perhaps they aren't reflective of exactly what's happening with your order.

However I'm a lot more sanguine about it now. I sold my old car yesterday, so I don't have to worry about getting rid before the new car arrives - I have the money, all I have to do it sit and wait until it turns up :)

Perhaps the bunch of dealer-ordered demo cars that were returned to the market are now being shipped to some customers who have asked for a similar spec. Might explain why the updates are a bit haphazard, as those build slots might have suddenly become customer cars.

I'm hoping some dealer ordered a Smurf blue 6AT 😁

My 10.14 order went to build on Thursday was in transit by Friday and has today arrived at Portbury. Checked using the developer tool and delivery is the on for 17/10. Just asked the dealer (no sniggering) and he has checked and belives this is correct. All a bit frustrating as I have another car to sell and need a car every day for my job

Does anyone have any idea why it needs to sit there for over 2 months? Is it being pushed along the road by hand?

I think the majority of cars are going to the South, so they just leave them with their handbrakes off and hope they get there eventually, as it's downhill.

Which is probably as good an explanation as we're going to get (3 months to roll slowly to me)...

There's a 7 page discussion on the reasons here: https://www.gr-zoo.com/threads/why-aren’t-gr86’s-being-delivered.1770/

...but to summarise, no one knows and people have provided all kinds of reasons:

To align with an EU wide release date
To fix / add / modify certain components required by EU legislation
For UK configuration of some electronics bobbins
To fit missing components like parking sensors that were on the spec sheet but not on the UK press cars
To fix engine problems that are cropping up in other countries before release here (https://www.gr-zoo.com/threads/engine-failure.1702/page-2#post-28053)
...and probaby loads of others I've forgotton about already.

Mine as well, was a little unsure as it just changed from Grey to Red and location from Portbury to Derbyshire but no tick, presumably that only happens when it eventually gets to the dealer. At least it is progress and my car is keeping yours company!

Looks like there has been a shipment, myT app and website went from 'Processing' to 'left factory' (Saturday) to 'In Transit - Portbury' yesterday - so not sure how but its been built and shipped half way around the world in 4 days ;-)
As with everyone else, sadly the next stage is showing 17/10 I presume for the same reason everyone else is reporting delays

Wonder if there are more cancellations than we expected and people are being moved onto cars that already exist as happened with the reallocation of the demo cars.

If we see any new members joining from the waiting list I guess we'll have our answer!
