GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Very smooth handover. Two keys. bamboo box. half a tank of fuel. Very wet and busy traffic so I've not explored how it goes yet - 300 mile trip tomorrow should get me used to it! Oh and my knob is on the right
Looks amazing - congrats!

Just collected my electric blue. Pretty simple handover (no teddy, or box) . All the protection was still on the main body and the alloys so drove it home like this and obv got quite a few looks. I also asked if the ducktail would be bolted on or just the adhesive . Adhesive was the answer so I said well in the case I’ll just do it myself and save myself £100+. Dealer said I better just check they have sent the correct colour (even though he checked with them numerous times) and of course they sent the trueno blue ffs 🤦‍♂️ . Also 4 ‘scratches’ seen on the car bonnet so I’ve let them know but they think it’s glue, I’m not so sure, but just getting conformation that once I detail, if I can’t get rid then they will sort no questions asked..

Frustrating about the ducktail. That's the kinda thing that usually happens to me, but I didn't order one. Hope those marks aren't scratches. Enjoy your new car!

Wait, are dealers only sticking the spoilers on? I thought they had to be bolted down…

That does take the shine off a bit, sorry to hear that. Hopefully the correct ducktail colour arrives quickly and the 'scratches' are just the edges of the adhesive of the wrapping. Enjoy nonetheless!

They do, that sounds iffy. I will certainly double check with my dealer as I'm not paying £150 in labour for a half arsed job.
Ditto, will be sending an email first thing Wednesday. I’d rather have it and get it done somewhere properly instead of have it fly off at some point.

Dealer said I can continue with the detailing and if the marks are still showing they will look into it no questions asked which is great to know. The scratches are top right of the bonnet and not near the edges which is why I think they are not the adhesive. I can clearly see the edges as there is a perfect straight line of glue These are wavey . In regards to the spoiler , Yeh certainly a strange one. I only saw the one vid on YT and it was bolted, then I watched a second the other day and he just used the adhesive so was thinking I’m just going to check as it’s seems a lot if all they are doing is sticking it down. It could be the salesman doesn’t know (which is fine I guess) but I can find more out once he has the correct colour . Maybe get a better idea on here what others have had done first.

Collected my car today finally! That clutch is something to get used to! I’ll practice more tomorrow.

Also, I was told that the maintenance prices at my dealership hasn’t been set and will only set in the new year

There are a few threads on spoilers now. The only way to install without the bolts is to rip them off I believe, and that's only possible because the mounts for those are also attached with 3M tape :ROFLMAO:

Collected my electric blue manual from Listers of Cheltenham this afternoon and returned my Corolla hybrid loan car. My GR86 was prepared exactly as I asked with the rear plate waiting for me to Velcro on. I received both keys, the handbook, the bamboo box and a teddy bear!
Ten miles on the clock when I picked her up and an excellent handover from Aaron, and also Shannon from the online team has been great. I know we have had to wait longer than we expected but driving home has made it all worthwhile.
And thanks to everyone here at the zoo!

Many congrats. I'll also be collecting from Hills of Woodford - any issues with the collection?

Did you get any freebies?

Really nice to hear that you had a good handover experience. We've had so many collections today - I make that 10, which is the most in a single day from GR-Zoo members since they started! Fantastic early Christmas presents for you all! :giggle:
