Resurrecting this thread as I’m getting bored of all the small bits of leaves and tree detritus getting into all the nooks of the GR, so considering a cover. @wilster888 how did this one fit?
I’m not wanting to teach you how to suck eggs but, a car needs to be spotlessly clean and dry before using a cover. Could you achieve this a couple of times a week? If not, you run the risk of effectively ’sanding’ your paintwork with any trapped dust/grit.
Not at all, this is part of the issue I have - will I realistically have the time or inclination to clean it once a week then be arsed to go through the palaver of putting on a cover?! I have the Classic Additions Ultimate Outdoor Cover, the same as @GS6R4, which is fantastic but not something I’d like to frequently take off and put back on again - when it’s on it stays on for a week or more at least (I kept the KonaN’s cover in place for the whole of Winter). The car also gets a full detail before I deploy the cover and the cover has to be dry before I remove it - timing the weather is everything, especially in Scotland!
