that's the highest ground clearance Rally2 GR that I've seen.Won’t see many Nürburgring warriors copying that look![]()
The Irish debut of the GR Yaris Rally2
And here a Japanese one. I really liked the POV of the mechanics while working on the car.
Hoping to see a few Rally2 GR Yaris at the ERC Rally Estonia in a few weeks. I know of 4 cars in this country so hoping a few are competing.Another podium for the GRY Rally2!
Miko Heikkilä got the 2nd overall position at the end of the Rally of Scandinavia in the European Rally Championship.
He battled until the end with the current ERC leader, Matteo Franceschi, who went off the road on the final stage, when he was just 3 second back from Miko.
After too much bad luck for Miko in the previous Rallies, he got some of his luck back today, thanks to an unfortunate puncture that slowed down the current ERC champion, Hayden Paddon, in the final stage, when he was in 2nd position.
Oliver Solberg on Skoda Fabia won the rally after a perfect run through all the stages.
For a car that has just started its career, the GRY is already showing performance and reliability at the level of the best Rally2 cars.

The land of diffin. Plenty of AE86 with big cibies on the front too. I think Ireland must have the biggest concentration of AE86 for a country bar Japan.I was at the Donegal rally last year, great event especially for the cruise in letterkenny on the Friday evening, they do love an IS200 and some diffin.
I know of 5 in country here. 3 of which are 3km from my house. You will actually notice that all new Rally2 Yaris delivered within Europe come with an Estonian number plate. Guessing this is as the car taxes here are way lower here than registering a car in Finland next door where they are constructed. They do seem to have loads of orders for them. Would love a trip to Jyväskylä to see the facility (@Michael Knight if you visit again in the future, let me know and I will make the trip north to the land of Moomins and liquorice).Do we know how many Rally2s are out there now? Seems to be quite a few at this point and I remember Toyota saying not too long ago that they actually got more request than they can support. So either they got an insane amount of requests or they upped their capacities after seeing what's up.
Not to mention the fact that one of the first racing team that adopted the GRY Rally2 is RedGrey team, run by a much famous Ott...I know of 5 in country here. 3 of which are 3km from my house.
