GR MR2

Keeping it two wheel drive would help reduce the costs but I read somewhere, there may be a 4WD version.
Whilst it may share similar running gear to other models and possibly a shared platform, the specialist nature of the car will translate into relatively small sales figures compared to other models, meaning a high cost.

However, the fact that Toyota is actively developing such a vehicle is something to celebrate.
 
There is possible the twill use some technology already in place from the yarris/corrola to keep price down? also read today that Subaru wi;; push for new affordably sports car aka raplcemnet for the BRZ. Would be cool to have some competition again
 
Always said I'd keep the 86 forever but if the cost to change wasn't too bad and the nanny stuff could be turned off with one button I could be tempted. The 86 bar the odd trip with the dog has become the toy car. Could always get a square box for the front seat for short trips if needed. And I still need to upgrade the Swift eventually.
 
Wouldn't it be lovely if the new MR2 were developed as a price rival to the MX5, and the Celica to mark the return of an affordable attainable coupe (a fruitier alternative to the current Prelude or 2-Series perhaps).

Anyway, what do I know? I don't even HAVE a GR anymore and maybe I should just butt out and bugger off back to my French commuter hatch
