GR Yaris GR Circuit. Pure White

Hi Fellow GR Enthusiasts,

Took delivery of a Pure White Circuit Pack last week, 22/09.

Had the car over in Yorkshire over the weekend. A steady 300 miles on the clock now!

I suffer from “mechanical sympathy” so revs where kept reasonably low!

Had it’s first wash today and felt obligated to use some Jap products on it!

A few niggles I’ve found so far;

-Having to turn off lane-keep assist every time the cars started.
-If you turn off the start/stop you get a hideous orange light on the dash.
-Seats are rather high (a common point)

Really enjoying the car at the minute and plan on plenty of miles in it even over winter

Anyway, modification starts next.

-Carbon Mud Flaps ordered
-Steel dead pedal to match

Toms Spoiler and a discreet body kit to follow

Particularly agree about the start-stop light. It's so bright it keeps getting my attention (not least cos it's in a very similar position to the Low Fuel light on my previous wheels).

I remember when I joined this forum (or the other one) defending Stop/Start against a strong critic. In terms of Toyota's implementation, they were right and I was wrong. I liked it on my previous cars (both GTis of various Peugeot models), but Toyota;s version is terrible.

Pop the car in Sport and you won't have to turn off stop-start and you don't get the light on the dash.
