After a pleasant evening earlier this month I think I'll attend the August Gaydon Gathering at the British Motor Museum on Tuesday 12 August at 5pm to 8.30pm, if anyone else fancies wandering over.

It's free but you do need to book your ticket(s) to help manage numbers. It was nice and busy last time.

Might see you there.

Given that I have now handed my GR86 back, I will be attending it's replacement.

;)

Providing evident for the defence M'lud:

Having taken Toyota FS to the Ombudsman in September 2023 and them upholding my complaint, the only course of action given to me was to either reject or accept their decision.

I had planned to keep the car and make an agreement with TFS directly but they would not discuss the matter until I had rejected the decision, which would have placed me in a weak bargaining position so was never going to happen.

I would lilke to get back in one one day though.

Would like to join as it is next door to work but having a pooch to collect from Doggy daycare stops me from being able to hang around. Might be going to the belated 86 day at C&M though

A little bump reminder, if anyone fancies it. Tickets free but pre-booking required (unless fully booked but wasn't when I checked earlier today).

As well as @Vistalite in his excellent Gallic GR86 replacement, I have it on good authority that ANOTHER forum stalwart who has replaced his GR86 with a svelte French beauty will be there...

Never mind - think there's another one on next month.

Ha ha. Two splitters then eh?!

It was a very busy night with a lot of interesting vehicles. Unfortunately I did not bump into Mr. Fox, despite me lurking around his silver beauty. Maybe next time.
Must have just missed you. Were you parked right in front of the building?

Was a good evening. Not quite as busy as last month, but still a good selection of cars there. Bloody hot though. Couple of shots:

My car with aforementioned former GR86 owning forum member's new steed.

Spoiler alert: It's very nice indeed. A real quality item. A quick spin around the block reveals it goes bloody well too.

It was good to catch up, and thanks for taking the photo far enough away to make my car look clean!

How did you get in here?! Mods - we have an intruder with expired credentials! ;)

It was great to catch up with you both, and thanks again for the GR goodies!

Yes that was me - it looked a bit odd sandwiched between the P1800 and the Viva.

I was there until probably 19:00 before departing. I saw Nick's nice Abyss Blue one with the Serac wheels and a black R with the carbon wheels.

I loitered around your car a couple of times, so we were probably in the somewhat preposterous situation of hanging around each others' cars and missing each other by seconds!

I'm wearing a red carnation next time.

Indeed, and if you were to wear only a red carnation I will certainly spot you then ๐Ÿ˜„

Was a good evening, although I turned up at 18:30 and there were already a lot leaving!
I thought the "start" time was only 30 mins earlier o_O

I was told to get there early and it was filling up before 17:00hrs so getting there before 16:30 would be advisable.

Some cars started leaving before they did the feature run at 18:30 which was a shame.

I was hoping to visit the museum but found that it closes at 17:00 ๐Ÿ˜ž
