So following a pheasant incident I now need a new grille, I’ve searched the forum but haven’t found an answer to the grille problem.

So has any company or forum member found an acceptable solution by either manufacturing an aftermarket grille or possibly strengthening the chocolate box Toyota one, I’m not keen on the Zunsport product therefore I’m looking for an alternative solution please ?

I bought a sheet of expanded aluminium mesh for automotive use from Amazon and fitted it behind the grill. There are a number of screws there which you can use to trap it plus I used black CT1 in places and black uv proof tie-wraps along the bottom. The result looks good and as well as re-inforcing the plastic grill it protects the intercooler from stones. autostyle.nl Race Mesh black.

I know you’re not keen but here is the Zunsport grill on mine.

I’ve got the mesh behind the grille.
The way i looked at it was mesh in front is to protect everything behind not pretty but functional, mesh behind to protect the functional stuff but prettier

Cheers for your replies 👍, I’ve decided to go with mesh behind the grille.
