On what reading and what is the setup ?
They didn’t tell me
I have RS fabrications cat back, initially they was saying aftermarket exhaust
When I explained it was only a cat back they wanted to do a diagnostic’s but i had been there for 3 hours and needed to go

Lambda fast idle limits 0.97-1.03 mine 1.05 fail

Second fast idle 0.97 1.03 limits mine 1.04 fail

I assume you mean gpf back?

A cat back probably would fail, removal of the gpf alone is a MOT failure.

Thing is though, RS fabrications sold these specifically as cat back I thought, which implies it's removing the gpf. In the exhaust system, the cat comes first, then the gpf.

You absolutely 100% sure you've still got a gpf?

They were only centre and rear section

That’s slightly lean so it could be a leak, sometimes a rag stuffed in the second pipe of a twin exit helps.
Alternatively just stick the oem exhaust back on. If they’ve changed the mid pipe that includes the gpf that may be the only option.
Do you know what your pre cat sensor reads?

Ok that’s interesting, it doesn’t suggest a missing gpf in my non expert opinion. More likely it’s sucking in O2 giving a lean reading at the end of the pipe. Just chuck the oem one on and take it back, if it’s not snowing where you live that is.
Both my pre and post cat sensors are trying to lean my fuel trim no idea if that’s normal for these. I think my mot is April.

I would say its pulling in air from a joint. The removal of the GPF would have no affect on the results. Hopefully mine is OK this March.
