GR86 Exhausts

Did you email them to get a quote on delivery? I've just sent them an email to clarify the SKU number on my order and to see if they had an update on the shipping - but I had already emailed them before I ordered and got no response. I notice they don't want people to call though, so email seems the only option.

Fensport have been quick to respond to email with me ([email protected]), I dealt with Adrian.

I did yeah I emailed them to ask them to price and quote a lead time for specific product number, they quoted, I double checked with them to make sure it was definitely 004 for the GR86 and not the 001 for the GT86 and they said absolutely yes, they even mentioned the difference in diameter.

Yeah, that's the email I've used. Hopefully they respond then. As I said, in my case, the item I've ordered is correct and specifically states GR86, larger diameter, etc, but the SKU is for the GT86 version of the same product. I wouldn't have even thought twice about it without seeing your post, so thanks :)

Got a response. Good news...it was indeed a mistake, I had the wrong part on order, so a good thing I checked.
Bad news....the correct part is a bit more wedge.

I want to absolutely ensure correct fitment so I'll pay the extra. My justification is that this really is the only mechanical mod I'm interest in making, so may as well do it properly.

Just came to fit Cobra exhaust, it’s exactly the same as the gt86 they said.
Went for the resonated with tp33 as tips because I wanted it to look as stock as possible.

It actually sounds really good (I don’t think the videos really show how it truly sounds). Currently making 6-8db more then stock at every level

They will be using my car as demo, currently making some videos of that, should be available in about a week or 2.

In the meantime here’s some videos of that (Will do more when I have the time)

Mines booked in at Fensport on 28th March, for Cobra cat back Non Resonated exhaust. Will put a clip on when fitted. Be interested to see what the difference is, from the resonated one👍

They are currently testing the non res, it’s absolutely fantastic! Now I don’t really know what to do 😂
Unfortunately the car is warm, so can’t really tell how loud the cold start would be, and that’s the main reason I am going for the resonated.
I will post a video of it in a bit

thanks for posting that👍
Now very happy with my decision. The cold start will be a possible downside, but with owning several TVR’s over the years, my neighbours are sort of use to a bit of noise when leaving the house😉🤣🤣👍
Carn’t wait for the 28th now👍

Any drone with the Cobra non-resonated or resonated?
The opf deletes a little bit the drone, I’ve never driven a gt86 so I can not compare.
I am very comfortable with the resonated, don’t feel any special drone to be fair.

The non-res you can feel it a little bit. If you only drive on weekends it’s fine, but if you drive it everyday might be a bit too much. @Nigel L will be able to tell you in a few weeks I guess

Leaning towards the remark aswell as I’d like the more substantial exhaust sound but don’t particularly want the constant drone and sounds like this could be one. However is it the 4.5” or the BOSO everyone is going for and what’s the difference? (sorry I’m a noob in regards to exhausts as I’ve never needed to buy one).

I've very conscious of drone but have learned over the years it's a very personal thing, what I consider to be drone others don't, it may be difficult but I'd strongly suggest finding videos or hearing a car with one on if you aren't sure.

My old R33 Skyline sounded epic with a 4" exit exhaust but 🤬 me were my ears bleeding without a helmet on, try before you buy!

I've gone for the 4.5".

The difference is the style & length of the tip (with the boso being more reminiscent of the Japanese crazy bosozoku style).
