I am looking to remap my GR now that it has a GR Performance intake and Cobra performance exhaust. I live in Fife...any recommendations for high quality car tuners not too far away would be appreciated.

You could enquire with Falkland Performance (St.Monans) to see if they could do anything for you. I have exactly the same setup as you on my GR86 and one of the reasons I chose to go that way was that there was no requirement to remap.
Unfortunately, being a NA engine you'll likely not see the same sort of performance increases that you might with a Turbocharged engine - I seem to recall figures of around 10hp at the 'peak' output mentioned in a thread somewhere within this forum? You may feel smoother delivery and a more linear torque curve, but performance? Probably not so for everyday driving. I'm sure others with more 'tuning experience' can add to this thread better than I can ...

I had a full N/A tuning package on my car. I asked them about remapping without the manifolds and they said there wasn't really any point. The most noticeable gains on NA tuning are in the midrange and you need a decent manifold to take advantage of this. This isn't to say that you wont get any gains, but I doubt you'll notice them.

Manifolds (headers) do a lot for these car's performance. Whether you're happy messing around with the OEM catted manifold is a choice you'll have to make if you decide to change them. I think the UEL manifolds sound amazing.

There's loads of info on remaps in this thread https://www.gr-zoo.com/threads/gr86-remap-any-news.6890/page-5

Thanks for information, strange that we have ended up the the same performance mods. I did loads of research prior to making my choices. I will also be fitting a full Whiteline Anti-roll, (sway bar) kit which arrives at the end of the month. Suspension and brakes next, but I have already chosen the suppliers for those after many hours of internet scrolling. Thanks again.
