My car tells me that my tire pressure iss too low. But thats not true, I have Bridgestone Potenza in 255/35/18 and Bridgestone recommends 2,0 front, 1,8 back pressure. But anything below 2,0 leads to this error: "check tire pressure"

The first option in the cars settings seems to adjust pressure, did that, drove 10 mins, pressure signal came back correct, but still too low :( -> error

How can I tell my car that 1,8 cold is the correct pressure for the rears?
Drove some km today, pressure went up to 2,0 while driving and error disappeared.

I read the document from Bridgestone again, it sais:

Use car manufactur´s pressure or at least 2.0 / 1.8.
So if I read it again and again this seems to be just the absolute minimum.

So I could go up to 2.2 / 2.0 again, even with these wider tires and error would disappear.

But if I choose to put 1.9 cold into it (pressure rises up to 0.3 as I park in a very cold garage), how can I prevent this error to shop up the first few km´s?

Set tyre pressures as per the vehicle manufacturer setting.

Then do the tyre pressure reset, I forget exactly the sequence. But you have to drive for about 10-15 mins

may be helpfull
Thx....thats exactly what I did, but I will repeat.
Maybe it took too long last time.I started with cold tire pressure, but until the procedure has completed after a few km, pressure went up....then the next day when I started the engine in my garage, pressure was cold again and error came up. I try not to drive for the procedure to not raise pressure while driving

Is it possible that you cant verify pressure below 2.0? Than all tries would be obsolete...

I adjusted my pressures to 2.1/1.9 Bar using a snap on gauge, and then did the reset warning level set up procedure. After that I set the actual tyre pressures where they needed to be at the actual ambient/tyre temp.
I did this back when an early start was often about 0° ambient and I was getting a pressure warning about the near side rear every morning which always cleared after 10 minutes running.
The system appears to be designed to produce a warning if the pressure drops 5% below whatever is input as "normal"
Ergo, I had set normal as 2.2/2.0 and was getting the NSR alarm at 1.9.

Here is the rub, tyre pressure varies with temperature by VERY approximately 0.1Bar per 10°C. Therefore if "normal" is set with the tyres at 20° and the next morning ambient is 0° the pressures could well have dropped by 0.2 Bar, aka 10% ish, and the result will be an alarm(s).

Random oddity, there have been several threads on this subject on various groups and forums, the offending corner always seems to be the near side rear!?!?

Thx.

I tried 2 times yesterday to set 1.9 as target pressure, but it always took too long. I think I need to go down to 1.9 warm and do the reset again, and then fill up to 1,9 cold.

this morning I got it....no more error when starting out of the garage with 1.9 cold...

now its time to proove if the stock pressures 2.2/2.0 are good or if I need to go up. I think there must be a thread about tire pressure? lol....

next time, Toyota should just add an option to manually set target pressure via touchpad ;)
