GR Yaris Car insurance

I was advised to use compare sites and then phone the company direct while having the compare site quote on screen so you can tell them the quote number. I have done this for many years and the company always beats the compare price and tell me we should always phone them direct as they can always beat the compare price.

I didn’t think they were allowed to do that anymore? In that you’re not supposed to be penalised for being an existing customer.

Renewal from Admiral on picking up the Yaris was cheaper than a C class Merc it replaced.

Try Aviva. I payed £210 last year and £235 this year. Comparison sites could only offer £320

Here’s my stats for reference:

29 years old
9 Years NCB
0 claims
Shropshire
Home Owner
Have access to other cars/bikes
Insured for 3,000 Buisness Miles, 9,000 total

Insured the Yaris in Feb 21 and 22

I recall last year Aviva coming out as one of the cheapest a few of us got similar quotations

Cheers @Mintmansam, that is basically me except the Shropshire part.

Except the Aviva website just quoted me £723....

I'm starting to think there is a strike against my name for some reason. Anyone know if I can find that out?

You cant but you can make a name up with an almost identical age and profile to you, use a disposable email address and an address nearby with the same postcode to see if it is you or your postcode. Use a house number that doesn’t exist on a manual entry to make sure you don’t cause anyone grief though. If it’s a lot less it’s you they don’t like, if it’s the same it’s your postcode.

Mmmm postcode and job could be the difference, is it your job? I find a tweak to my job title saved £50 one year on another car. I’m a Project Manager/Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager is £50 less than Mechanical Engineer.
