We have been chatting with Jonny Smith and his wife Chops since this forum was created in December last year, about the Zoo attending the next big event that they organise and it's now happening. (y)

Quite a few members including myself had cars on display at the Manchester event in November, where several hundred cars were on display and several thousand petrolheads supported and attended the event. It was a great day and the GR Yaris was very popular.

Chances are this will be the main event they do in 2022 and we have been invited to attend as a group, that's if you want to? 🙏

Anyone with a GR Yaris, GR Supra, Yaris GRMN and possibly GR86 if they have arrived are welcome to join our group.

The event is being held over the weekend of the 6th & 7th of August. So treat this thread as advanced notice that we will have a display on at least one of those days (possibly both). Both days now confirmed.

General tickets and information can be found on the link below, but please don't buy your ticket just yet.
We have been given an allocation just for us and that link will be shared once it's live. If you have already bought a display ticket then let me know and I'll see if we can get it switched to a club ticket instead.

Order your tickets using the following link, if club tickets don't appear use the code "Clubbing".

For those that don't follow YouTube, Jonny Smith is ex Fifth Gear has his own YouTube channel The Late Brake Show and is the Smith behind the Smith and Sniff Podcast with Richard Porter (sniffpetrol).

More details about the The Late Brake Show BIG BRAKE can be found below.

Update guys, club tickets are now available using the link below.
If you can't see the list of car clubs add the code "Clubbing" and they will appear.

1 ticket admits 1 car & 1 adult (driver) for the day selected.
Passenger and child tickets are further down the list - please buy the correct number of tickets asap to avoid disappointment.

We have a display on both days for GR Yaris, GR Supra, GR86 & Yaris GRMN.

As is the way, please book your tickets and update the thread confirming which day you are attending and in what car.

If tickets don't sell out, then they are likely to go back into the general pot for others to attend, so if you are able, please book asap. (y)

Booked, both days 🤪 in the GR Yaris (y)

Just booked for the Saturday. Hopefully in the GR Yaris - if it's turned up by then (Hopefully arriving in July).

Sadly it looks like this event is going to be cancelled, so anyone about to order tickets please wait.

I believe anyone who has ordered will receive a refund.

More details to follow.

Following on from my earlier post, see below.

It is with incredible sadness that we announce the cancellation of this year’s BIG BRAKE live event in August.

As many of you know, we initially (December - March) had a torrid time trying to pull off any event this year; so hard was it to find suitable venues that were available (and affordable), however, we eventually found a venue for 1 BIG summer event, and have subsequently worked hard to bring it to fruition.

Sadly, some pretty big personal complications have disrupted matters (more recently), and as such, we no longer feel able to deliver the Big Brake event this year. Not to a standard that would be anywhere near good enough for you all.

Please know, this is not a decision we have taken lightly and we have wrestled and wrestled with this decision over the last 2-3 weeks, trying to think of ways to overcome the situation, but we simply can’t. We are still a very (VERY) small team and even though we will always work hard for you all, in this instance, we need to prioritise our own health and wellbeing, so that we can keep the main business – the channel and everything closely surrounding it – working smoothly.

All tickets will be refunded in full within the next 48-hours, and of course, we will answer as many questions as we can, if you want to email us: [email protected].

Words cannot express how sorry we are. Letting our community down is the last thing we would ever want to do.

We will try to get to some existing events this summer (and if we can, perhaps ‘curate’ a TLBS area at 1 or 2 of them), so that we can see as many of you as possible. No stage show or similar, but we can at least try and get out and about a bit. All information about which events we will attend, will be posted across our social channels as soon as we are able to.

Once again, sincere apologies.

Jonny and Chops

Sorry to hear it, was going to book one of the days too. Will have to looo out for another late summer event to attend :)
