Video from recent brake fluid change at dealership shows they let brake fluid drip or run onto the rims, which in the video they say is ‘waiting to be washed off’. It looks like this brake fluid has left marks on the inside of my alloys (not visible unless the wheel is removed, but still…). Is there a Toyota tech sheet that shows what their procedure is for brake fluid change? Would like to see this before I take it up with Toyota GB or the dealership. Thanks.

No sensible mechanic would leave Brake Fluid sitting on a surface and wait for it to be cleaned off later by the in-house wash monkeys! That’s why they should have rags or protective cloths to hand. I had fluid drip during my BBK install, but the mechanic had rags in place to catch it and the surface was cleaned with a solvent in short order. If Toyota has etched your alloys then a complaint is on the cards IMO.

for me (and should be for any half-brain mechanic) having a spray-bottle filled with water on-hand is crucial to quickly wash-off any brake fluid spill... water is one of the best fluids to neutralize brake-fluid acidity /corrosion.
