Has anyone else had issues with hrnshn brake cooling ducts causing damage to CV boots?

I've now had two become damaged. The first one the reinforcing wire in the duct broke and nicked the boot after contact.
I replaced and use better quality ducting with no wire reinforcement and took more care about ensuring there was no contact on either lock. But then had another boot wear through after less that 1k miles. Currently thinking of adding a 45 degree in extension to the. Outboard end to move the ducting away from the cv boots.

Hi ! Watch the video from Phil, you can twist the hose into the other direction so its facing away from the boot from the tension which is comming from the wire inside. hard to explain in english for me =D. also you can bend the bracket a bit away from the boot. i wanted to try with slighty angled cutted tubed but the company wanted shitloads of money for the angle cut than with the 90° cut.
