All,

I thought I would start this thread as there doesn't seem to be one on here. Kudos to jinxy who started the thread on gr-yaris.co.uk.

One of the better and cheaper mods you can do to your GRY is to replace the standard fit front wipers with these Bosch ones:
Amazon product ASIN B01LW2PJ2S
I bought and fitted these around 2 weeks ago and the difference is huge; the streaking and smearing is gone and the wipers sit more flush and lower on the bottom of the windscreen improving visibility too.

I've had issues with streaking since about 1500 miles in, cleaning didnt help, I actually ordered these yesterday after abit of googling and finding the post on 'the dark side' GRY forum so hopefully all good when I get them on

Thanks for starting this thread, only last week I'd posted about the streak the wipers leave, directly in my line of sight!

Off to order some replacements.

I think its something more general to the wiper blades Toyota use. the CEO has a C-HR and the blades clear ok but are very noisy no matter what I do cleaning wise. The Demo cars we drove weโ€™re both the same. Iโ€™ve also used the Bosch Aerotwin blades on several cars and they are great, the C-HR will be getting some soon ๐Ÿ‘

Yeah mine are waaay better now I switched to Bosch... tried cleaning the OEM ones but they still streaked/smeared and missed portions of the screen! ...but no more!! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜

I put on a set of these last week. Good so far, but then again all wipers are when they are new. Iโ€™m 5k miles in, and I had just cleaned the stock blades with some panel wipe because I noticed they were getting a bit smeary.

I'm around 200 miles in and all good. Debris isn't getting stuck under these which in turn causes smears so I haven't had to lift and wipe them at all.

First world problems baby!

Standard blades are rubbish, I have equivalent of 3100 miles on the car , the wipers have hardly been used (5 times?)
The car never sits outside (ever)
The blades have left a nasty rubber residue on the glass, noticed it on the weekend (looks like a crack, it's just rubber)

I will be polishing the windscreen next weekend

Was sitting here wondering when my blades would be arriving, having forgotten all about ordering them.

Then realised I'd forgotten to complete the order in the first place... ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I have bought from these guys many times & always use the 2nd class option & they usually arrive within 2 days. Excellent service from them (y)
