I have a fear of taking nice cars to car parks it actually become stressful, I don’t know if anyone remembers but I bought a shed pug 107 for £600 for the dogs, to take to the shops and to reduce mileage to save my GR from all of these and this happens to it:

Scraped and no note left or anything I’m so thankful I got this car to save the Yaris it’s probably already paid for itself including the door dings I struggled to capture on a photo. I don’t care about this car but it’s a bitter sweet moment for all the people that said im Ridiculous for buying another car!

This is exactly why I want to put the GRY in the garage when not in use and, for popping to the shops and "using", I want to buy another £500 cheap little Fiesta. Let it gets bashed by other id10t3 instead and then enjoy the nice car away from these areas.

Exactly mate! Although In the current market you have to pay 1k+ for a previous 500 quid banger but still worth it in the long run

That £600 has just paid for itself. Feel frustrated it happened, feel smug your strategy worked.

Me and the Mrs have always had a beater/shed/nail to take to the shops, tips runs, city centres for the reasons of nice car preservation.

Garages pay for themselves in terms of damage & wear and tear. Well worth it, even if you have to rent imo. I don't live in a "rough" area and yet I've still seen cars parked outside key'd, scapped, even one idiot drove into the row of parked cars outside and flipped their Dacia across the road, writing off 2 of the parked cars in the process.

God the general public are awful.

Yeah thankfully I have a garage perfectly sized to squeeze in a GRY :D

Is that paint or rubber? In a way I hope it's paint as that means a nice big fat karma bill for them, @$$holes. Hopefully they have a few sleepless nights worrying about the cost of putting it right before the lease car goes back, :ROFLMAO: With a bit of luck it will cost them more than the purchase price of your car.

I lasted 2 months with my GRY as my only car then I realised I dare not park it anywhere in Bradford and I just wasn't going to all of those places I used to take for granted. I bought a 5 year old Mii and it is the best thing I did. It allows me to take the GRY only when I know where I am parking it. The other 95% of journeys are done in a little car that I just don't worry about. It means I can now enjoy the GRY. I told a firemen who was installing free smoke detectors and he told me how his mate bought a Focus RS and three weeks later it was vandalised. It's a poor do when people work hard to buy their car and yobs do that.

Someone's done that twice to my Dad's Mercedes and the scum just drives off with no note... :cautious: (n)
At least it wasn't the GRY so good job you bought a run around! 😅

It goes just as fast with the odd wheel scrape or scuff on a door. Just sayin’ 😉

Paint pal, hopefully they get charged when handing the car back but probs the type of people to get away with it
