anything special to do when bleeding the brakes? what order should be used for bleeding?
Thinking of putting stainless steel brake lines just to improve braking feel.

Nothing extra to add; start with furthest corner away. I used a small amount topping up when doing mine, 200ml maybe, I can’t remember exactly. I want to fit the braided clutch line soon, but that requires the car being up on a ramp.

I fitted Goodrich hoses they seem to make a decent difference. I couldn’t get an eezibleed or my other pressure bleeder on the cap so just got the wife to press the pedal. Furthest away nearest to master cylinder last went round 3 times

Cheers getting the stainless hoses aswell tomorrow. I've previously used the power bleeder with Porsche and would prefer using that kind of system as it is dead easy but let's see. With a advanced helper that pedal approach works aswell.

Today I did mine , the hoses I mean , and new racing fluid .
Must say I left this mod for last as I felt quite happy with the feel of the pedal and its performance but heading to my first trackday with the GR at the end of the month so thought I couldn’t leave it any longer.
I have done this many times on my other cars with no problem. I do the one man bleed with a bottle old school type and never a problem.
Results….. pedal is mushy and I am furious😡 gone three times around car almost 2.5 litres through and still soft.
Thinking of using a scan tool to bleed the ABS too but don’t know how air could have gone inside as container was always been topped up.
Anyways, anyone has experienced this ? 🤣

Do you mean you submerge the hose in brake fluid and pump The pedal so not to draw air in?

I personally wouldn’t do that way as you can never be sure it’s not drawing air in past the threads on the nipple.

Best way to vacuum or get someone to pump the oedal

I just bled mine with the wife pressing the pedal and me cracking and closing the nipples as my pressure bleeder wouldn’t fit on jap cars

Only thing I could suggest to try is to crack the bleed nipple and push the pistons back in and see if any air was trapped in the cavity between the piston and pipe

No , no submerged anything …. Bottle with aa bit of fluid inside ,hole in the cap and feed tube in it and attach the other end to the nipple , open nipple and press pedal in sets of 7 ( my choice) 🤣. No need to close nipple inbetween strokes as air cannot return back as end of tube is submerged in fluid .
To change hoses I simple disconnected tgem and attached the new ines as quickly as possible.
My suprise was that such a largge calioer only gas one nipple to bleed from usually calipers that size have two nipples .
Probably air is inside there too I guess.

Yeah so you are submerging the hose in the fluid and pumping. I personally wouldn’t do that method . If you can get someone to pump the pedal while you crack and close the nipples is best way to be sure.

There’s a chance there’s air in the calliper so if you crack the nipple while pushing the pistons back that will push any air back up towards the nipple.

I would be very surprised if the ABS pump had air in it

Ohh I see what you mean thanks , will get a friend tomorrow as car is still on jack stands with no wheels on 💪🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Just bumping this thread back up to see if any new kits have been created to help bleed the brakes with a pressure bleeder? I don't think my wife has the patience to pump the brakes while I run around each corner and check the reservoir levels.

We use this one:

We use this one:
this looks good as it has the locking pin. I have only thread and it can unloose itself unless you check it is fitted properly to the seat.

I ordered similar pin locking type now. the one I used previously was crap as it was not tight and it always become a mess.
