GR86 Black, Four Elms Roundabout, Wainscott

About 4pm, I was going back to the dealer to collect my car and actually cut off my partner mid sentence to say "ooooh look, a GR86!".
Black one going around the roundabout from Hoo toward the A2.

What's going on, there's only meant to be a handful in the country, and that's the fourth one I've seen in the area. Common as muck now.

In all the six and a half years I've been driving my GT86 around Medway you've never spotted me, then one week after I picked up the GR I get spotted!

I still have the GT86, and am planning to keep both while I decide which to keep. After 10 days just driving the GR, I was pretty sure that was the keeper. But today, at 95,000miles, I took the GT86 in for new front discs and pads, and the moment it turned a wheel, I thought, "this is a great car!" Somehow, i feel more cocooned in the GR, detached from the road and what's going on around me (that actually replicates the way car development has gone in general since the 80s, with all the safety b*ll*cks.)

But the GR willl doubtless loosen up, and I'll reserve judgement for the moment. For sure, with a tight engine it's appreciably thirstier than the GT - currently about 15% I guess, driving at similar speeds (we have litle choice around our way, do we?!)

Nice to see you! I wouldn't worry about the economy too much, I'm finding it pretty much the same as my old GT...perhaps a tad worse but then I don't commute anymore so it spends less time on the motorway. Hope you learn to love it, I think it's a big improvement over the previous gen personally.
