I debated suspension changes for a long time because I didn't want to mess it up on the road but stock it is woefully inadequate on fast corners on track.
I'm not a pro driver so most lap time gains out on track are from my skill and confidence. To this end I decided to go in a bit cheaper as all I really wanted to achieve was lower, stiffer and corner weighted - I didn't need 14 way adjustable shocks with loads of gizmos and acronyms I'd never know was there - so I got the BC BR coilovers with custom 8kg springs and I opted to do the DNA top mounts as I had chewed through 2 of those already and wanted to bring the camber adjustment up top to create more wheel clearance.
I'm super happy with it on road and track. Was a good 5% quicker even on slower UK tracks and on the road it is so compliant but also involving now.
Corner weighting showed up some serious imbalance which we were able to tackle quite a bit with the heights and me sticking some weight in the back. It's honestly a lot more predictable under braking and left Vs right now.

Hope you’re good bud, I’m more focused on my local hillclimb which is the TT course ( our roads ) so don’t really know if classed as road or trackas it’s both !!

ordered Ohlins today and bride seat rails to get buckets in.Need some pads as well.Fun wee car round here,same for you on iom

Where did you get them from?
I managed to pick up this set second hand a few months back:
I got in touch with MGR about buying a new set, he pointed me in the direction of the second hand set and gave me a rough estimate for a new set… 8-8.5k GBP for 2way, going up to 12k for 4/5 way. Plus vat of course

They’re an incredible bit of kit - in the normal world, the ohlins r&t dampers are a high end damper, only in motorsport-world could they be considered a budget, entry-level offering!
