But, hypothetically speaking, if I were to use anything (which of course I wouldn't cos I always stick to the speed limits), I would use the TomTom AmiGO app on Android which has a useful 'overlay' function. This (hypothetically) would allow you to use Google Maps for navigation and AmiGO for speed camera and hazard detection. But I would never need such a thing, of course.

Problem with RA is now its subscription, so £200 for unit and £150pa for updates / real time info.

For long Journeys I use my TomTom Go Premium X with the route already planned in (and transferred) using the online portal. For shorter stuff I use their free App 'AmiGO', as already mentioned above, which is a slimmed down navigator for 'speed cameras, average speed check zones, jam tails and blocked or closed roads' (to quote their blurb).

I use the Tom Tom Amigo app as an overlay for Google maps too, because it warns me about accident black spots, which is the only reason there are speed cameras there.
I used to use Waze but the navigation isn't as good as Google and would sometimes drive me round in circles (and the bend) in London.
