This year's Bangers N Flash car show is taking place at the same venue of Craigtoun Country Park, St.Andrews on Sunday 17th August 2025. We attended this event last year (in June) and had some decent weather; see the thread here, so being in August this time we should hopefully see a decent day again?!
I know that it's early days yet but, if anyone is interested in attending this show as an exhibitor, please plop your NOI in a reply below. Details so far: Gates open to the public 10am-3pm, so exhibitors will likely be required between 9am-4pm. Price is £6 per show vehicle.

Club spaces for this event are filling up fast and it looks like it could be busier than last year! So far the following clubs are confirmed as attending and more are coming forward every week:

Awesome 303 Performance ▪️ Backyard Tunin' ▪️ The Classic American Retro Sports Club (CARS) ▪️ Central Scotland Modified ▪️ Modified motorz ▪️ Modified Together ▪️ Show Rejectz ▪️Type R Scotland ▪️Fast & Modified ▪️Show Junkiez ▪️Tartan Cruisers ▪️Scottish Road Runners ▪️Driven with Pride Scotland ▪️Scottish Audi Clan

To have GR-Zoo represented as a Club, we'll need to gather a few folks with any type of GR. Add a reply to this thread if you are interested in exhibiting. Show is on Sunday 17th August as advertised. 🌤️

Can't commit at the moment due to work but I'd definitely be interested. Have many fond memories going to Craigtoun in the 90s, can still remember when I graduated from the small bouncy castle up to the big kids one!

Count me in, was a good day last year. 👍
Good to hear, thanks very much for volunteering. That makes 3 solid affirmations so far.

Yeah, it was a good day last year. It's a decent venue with a proper Cafe on site. I'm hopeful that the date for this year will provide us with an increased likelihood of decent weather! 😬

Update: To all concerned, I have contacted the organisers this evening with a view for a GR-Zoo Club booking and the purchase of 5 tickets in order to secure our pitch. Now all I need is to herd up 2 more members and that cost will be covered. Only other a matter is the bribe for some pretty TV meteorologist to promise us some sunshine in August.. ☀️

Maybe we need to convince @Gr8 to join our group in his lovely red GR86, instead of sitting in the middle of the field with his Alpine A110 like last year eh? :giggle:

Found out this week that I will be relocating permanently back to Scotland, yipee! I won't find out my shifts until the end of May so can't fully commit to this just now but should know by then whether I'll be free. If its too late to book me in with everyone else I'd still be up for rocking up to the public car park anyway!

@Renzokuken86, I haven’t heard back from the organisers yet, but even if we don’t get an official ‘club’ pitch it’s only a matter of turning up together and parking next to one another. Same price, same result 😉. With you that’d be 4 of 5 and plenty of time to find another one or two. Here’s hoping your shifts work out.🤞🏻

The email below received by the show's organisers regarding a GR-Zoo Club pitch:

"Hello, we'd be delighted to have you back. I've reserved 5 spaces for you, just let me know if/when you need any extra. A few details; clubs will be given a specific entry timeslot. This will be sometime between 8am and 10am. Entry is £6 per car with no charges for any passengers. This is due by the end of June, though earlier payment is always appreciated. I look forward to seeing you all there! Kind regards, Lindsey."

It's interesting to note that there is no charge for passengers, but squeezing eight people into the back of a GR86, although applauded for effort, may be taking it a bit far? 😆
We have 4 cars listed above, one more and we'll have filled our pitch!
We need you!

Time for a 'bump': Does anybody else fancy attending this one?

I have been in touch with the organisers of this event and because we are a returning club, they are happy to include us as a 'club pitch' despite us only having 4 vehicles. To that end, I shall be sending in our application email and payment next week.
I already know the details required for @911sse and @AWB, but @Renzokuken86 could you DM me with the following please: Your full name, vehicle details and its registration, so that I can add you to the access list.
As a reminder "Entry is £6 per car with no charges for any passengers." With no charge for passengers, you can bring as many people with you as you can (legally) fit in your car for one ticket price!
As I'll be paying for the tickets up front, I shall DM all exhibitors with my bank details for reimbursement of their individual £6 entry fee.

Payments received with thanks.

Update: I have applied for our tickets this evening. Renzokuken86's shifts will not work so we are down to 3 - One for All and All for One!! 🤺
(As I'm the oldest, I'll be Athos I guess ...)

Darn it, I'll have to forgo this event - a diary clash I cannot get out of. No matter the wrangling I tried. Next time! Corner of car meet shame for me!!

Weather is looking ‘mint’ for this show on Sunday (so far). After the amount of flies I collected on today’s drive I’d best get cleaning asap! 🪰🦟🪳

Just @AWB and me flying the flag at this one. Nevertheless it’s down to be a belter of a day ☀️. Need to get out a bottle of Factor ‘Fearnaught’ and a hat! Gonna have to dress appropriately too, so out go the chinos and waistcoat in favour of some shorts and a flouncy summer shirt… "Mmmm Nice" (as they say at Jazz Club).
