I'm not sure I even got that much when on a trailer from Ullapool to Inverness@MrJ got mid 40s on a trip from the North West to Silverstone. Must have been all downhill! Best I've got is about 40 MPG, and that was with some effort.
Don’t make me dig out that screenshot of shame again@MrJ got mid 40s on a trip from the North West to Silverstone. Must have been all downhill! Best I've got is about 40 MPG, and that was with some effort.
Yeah, my Evos got about 20-24 mpg so to get 28 mpg for effectively the same performance is a result in my books, and shows just how much engines have advanced in 20 years. In summary for me:
On the one hand, it uses quite a lot a fuel for a supermini, driven as a supermini.
On the other hand, when using the - considerable - performance, fuel consumption is relatively well kept at bay compared to similar performing cars and not near as bad as rally heroes from the recent past (Impreza/Evo etc).
My overall average is pretty close to yours in general running about.33.7 mpg average over the last year/10k miles, pretty consistent really. Tend to have quite a few long motorway journeys, where I’m happy cruising at 65, which helps bring the average up.

I can easily dip in to single digits in my supercharged S2000, so the GR is my contribution to Greta ThunbergDone only 1200 miles in the car since new.....averaging 31mpg
My Evo used to do 15...so the yaris is great!![]()
That’s wild - I get 320 odd miles predicted on a full tank. I think my long term mpg is about 32 and I only drive on twisty roads every so often, rest is town or dual carriage/motorway though. I did realise today how little I’m ever at full throttle though, and consequently limited use of boost. I find if I drive along and ever put my foot down I just end up hitting the speed limit too quickly! So tend to go half throttle mostly.I once achieved 42.4 mpg! But it was only once. I have been trying to get a better return on a tank and the car is saying 29- 30 ish after a trip to wales with cruise on and four adults on board, literally 5 mins to the m56 and A55. Currently using 95 Ron as no super at Tesco lately.
Or in other words when I fill up it says I have 197 mile range.
I suppose this is ok, just want a bigger tank
I think the best predicted I've seen is 270 & I suspect that I'll never see 300+That’s wild - I get 320 odd miles predicted on a full tank. Exactly this for me. 32 in mixed driving, 36 at 74mph Mway cruise. That’s wild - I get 320 odd miles predicted on a full tank.
