Looking to purchase some TRD upgrades. Has anyone used www.japanparts.com Prices seem very reasonable but the shipping is extremely high but still works out cheaper than Toyota main dealer prices in the UK. Just concerned about the import duties as well.

Yeah they're legit. Used them a few times to get hold of genuine parts. Only downside is the wait. I can't remember if you'll get stung for import fees or not though.

Also take a look at Nengun.com. Also based in Japan, but I think they focus more on selling abroad. So they're website is mainly in English and a little easier to navigate. Just bought something from there for £130 delivered via the cheapest UPS carriage option and it still arrived in just under 2 weeks and there were no import fees. They might be a little cheaper than Japan parts for what you need, so have a look and compare.

Yes i've seen that one too but struggling to get a reply from them regards pricing including shipping. @Conscript did you use the sea cargo option with Japanparts - so do you know if we need to collect at sea port?

If I remember I just entered the nearest seaport and airport but then it gives you options for delivery and I tend to just choose the one I want. Usually just FedEx or UPS or whatever and it gets delivered straight to your door.

Ordered a lot of stuff from them now and been really impressed. Anything you are chasing from japan give them an email and they will get it added to their site for you.
My orders have been a lot of joint items, so the cost is rather high, I was charged vat once it hits the uk every time. Still a fair bit cheaper than any UK resellers or from Toyota direct. Just add your parts and delivery cost, add 20% and use that final to make your decision.

I havent used the sea delivery options. I go with the UPS/FedEx air courier option, had a set of wheels delivered to me in a week.

Only issue is the costs for postage. For what I want that comes to £256, the cheapest postage by air is £136 so almost half again of what it costs.

Yea it would make sense the value i have seen is from larger orders. Single items look to be hit harder.

I just wondered what the seaport option would work out cheaper on import duties etc.
