GR Yaris Anyone have rear top mount problems?

Harry Metcalfe seems to have had problems with clonking from the rear caused by broken/faulty rear top mounts.



This is weird because a) his car has only done 19,000 miles, and b) even though many of us have put more miles on our cars, and have likely used the cars much harder, I don't recall anyone else having such issues.

Maybe something related to the Nitron kit he has fitted? But I can't really see how that would affect things, and it's not like nobody else has lowered their cars or fitted coilovers.

Anyone had or heard of similar problems?

ive noticed a couple of noises back there but not investigated properly.

34,000 miles stock and no issues back there. I suspect it’s to do with the setup or installation of the Nitrons just a bit too coincidental isn’t it?

I should just add, 28,500 miles and not a squeak from mine.

@DeanoC reported top mounts that had to be replaced.

Based on this post, it was probably the fronts only that had to be replaced. Twice!
