Drove a company car for years but aiming to retire soon so bought a GT86 which I soon changed to a GR86. Great car but a very similar drive to my MX5. So started looking at getting a Supra. Checked all the dealers in Essex, no one had one in stock. Had a trip planned to Sussex so checked all the Sussex Toyota dealers, none in stock.
Didnt think I needed the extra HP of the 3 litre but thought the 100kg weight loss for the 2.0 so had a look around and found 3 cars in the North East. Bit of a gamble buying a car which I had never sat in,

from over 300 miles away but did a deal and got my Fuji Speedway edition last Monday.
Really nice motor, absolutely love it and the other benefit is when jumping in my MX5 its a completely different driving experience.

Hi Steve would be great if you could get to one of the car meets . Two Fuji s are better than one . I’m going to a few this year , my favourite has to be sports car in the park . Some unreal cars on show . Let me know if your planning on attending any and I’ll see if I can get to them

100kg weight penalty for the 3.0!? Really?
Nah it's not that extreme.

Sport Auto weighted the 2.0 with 1475 kg

The 3.0 with 1511 kg

The 3.0 manual with 1492 kg

Thanks to the shorter engine the weight balance of the 2.0 is indeed better though. Sport Auto measured it at exactly 50/50 with most of the engine sitting behind the front axle.

So it depends on what you are looking for. If you are fine with the penalty in straight line speed the 2.0 could be a dynamically better car.

Anyway great car Steve. I have liked all the special editions so far and the Fuji is no exception.
