I spray the s*** with quick detailer, put a paper towel on it, soak it, let it sit for a minute and wipe it off. No scratches and no wiping effort.

Today I found that the Poorboy's QD+ detailer spray and my silver paint are a happy combination.
I've used the QD+ before on darker cars and wasn't blown away by it - it seemed a bit 'smeary' and left a slightly hazy finish and was a little too much like hard work for a supposedly "quick" product.
However on the silver it went in and off very easily and left a lovely shine.

I assume it would work well on the white as well as the silver.
I've also put some more Poorboy's wheel sealant on which I very highly recommend.

Water, water and then a bit more water. Once it's soaking wet and rinsed off I'll usually apply some QD, PPF Maintain or similar. I never contact/rub/move the poop whilst it still has any adhesive properties. Fortunately Ceramic Coating and PPF are comrades at arms here. I once had a seagull poop that had even managed to 'etch' the PPF on my bonnet! The previous Waterwall and product routine still seemed to leave a dull patch when viewed at a certain angle in the sunlight, so in the end I decided to see how 'self-healing' the PPF actually was ... a few minutes with a hair drier had me dancing on the driveway - you beauty! I could actually see the stain disappear before my eyes.. Sorted our Perry

Found a poop on the rear 1/4 which couldnt have been there more than a day, not one of those berry infused purple ones just a normal plop, wiped off with some QD and its still left an etch on the paint! Will need a bit of DA polishing to resolve I think, never had any issue with other paint but as per another thread the paint on the 86 is basically chocolate!Water, water and then a bit more water. That's good, for comparison my quote for "Xpel ppf install on full front end including headlights and mirrors" was £1300 inc VAT

I paid £1100 for XPEL all in for front bumper, lights, wings, bonnet, wing mirrors and A pillars. While I was at it had the rear bumper done . Previously had the side skirts done which I'd recommend highly!

This really annoys me. One day of rain and the car's dirty like this. I have more work with it since it's been ceramic coated than without a coating. I constantly have the dirtiest car of the street yet nobody ever washes their car. This is really something that's being missed as a ceramic coating negative... If they make a coating that sheets I'll be the first customer, I don't get the beading craze.
If anyone has a solution to this I'm all ears

I feel your pain. It's like the rain collects every ounce of atmospheric dust just to plop it on your car. How about an Ultimate Outdoor Car Cover from Classic Additions? I had one on my Hyundai Kona N and I've already bought another ready for my GR86. Be aware that they can be a slippery little sucker to put over a clean Ceramic Coated Car - I used to put it in the centre of the roof and unfold it (like wedding cake in a hankie) bit by bit so that it didn't slide off the car. Reverse procedure to take off. Getting it back in the bag is another art formIf anyone has a solution to this I'm all ears

And when it does get sandy or dusty, rubbing that cover over it can't be good, I need a garage

With ceramic coating I find that fallout remover & snow foam works really well at removing 90% of dirt when washing.
A cover should only ever go on a thoroughly clean car. Once I’d prepared mine for a show it was on with the cover until show day. Same in the Winter; full detail, dry, final coats and on with the cover. Last year it went to bed in November and came out of hibernation in April looking as good as new.
