Went down to the nice folks at A Line in Dudley today who got my standard geometry GR aligned as much as the could - only toe in/out in front/rear is possible without camber bolts.

Wanted to keep it totally stock as it’s a daily driver, just wanted to check the factory alignment and get it tweaked for regular use.

Rear setup for a more planted feel, in line with other GT’s they’ve done previously.

Not yet driven in anger to confirm if the settings feel any different.

Details attached for those who may be looking for a similar thing.

Cheers

To confirm, the ‘lively’ feeling pulling out of junctions is still easily available (sideways with a bit of throttle), and high speed bends do feel better, feeling more confident.

Overall, I’m happy with the updated settings for anyone who isn’t wanting or ready to go for camber bolts.

Thanks

What is adjustable on these cars for alignment?

From quick Google it seems I need to get some lower arms to adjust rear camber and top mounts for front camber?

I guess toe is adjustable from factory both front and rear?

Toe in/out on front/rear is the only adjustment available from factory, but they’re known for having sloppy tolerances even when new.

Not sure on rear camber, but I believe front camber can be changed by around 2 degrees (possibly 2.5 degrees) using camber bolts at the front, with top mounts for anything extra.

I had camber bolts put in when I had my first alignment, which sorted mine out nicely. But I only ever drive on the road.

All the comments above are correct. For the rear you need either upper control arms or lower control arms. I did upper.
For the front, cheapest is camber bolts followed by the peddlers mount

Just a note on the Pedders, they can be used on their own to add passive negative camber or combined with camber bolts to move the window of adjustment provided by the camber bolts more into the negative. they aren't adjustable by themselves.

What camber bolts are people using as I ones I have used in the past always ended up getting knocked out of alignment with the roads we have now?

Cusco pillowball mounts are only £250 ish.

Mine are Powerflex. Didn't specifically ask for them, just asked Abbey Motorsport to do my alignment and fit some and that's what they put in.
