GR Yaris 100-200 km/h

Can we revice this thread? :D

Managed to get 14,67s on Aral 102 with an Eventuri. 1x gear change only in Performance mode.

Car has Eventuri Intake and +20Nm from factory.

And you only installed the valve springs, no camshafts?
 
I collected some 100-200 data. Best run 11.19s worst 11.93s. I don't think my route is optimal as I have to go around a shallow bend. Will retest with kelford cams and springs next week.

This is a good goal with your planned upgrades. Above 10 degrees C with some new tyres in 235/40/18 and 5000rpm clutch drop, I think the my car has a 12.2x in it on stock turbo. I also think there's approximately 40kg that can come out of the vehicle easily for another 10th of a second. To dip into 11.9 on the street, a bigger turbo or E30 tune is required (or alternatively a beautifully prepped drag strip plus a 6000+ rpm clutch buster launch.)

Is it really worth in the end?
You will probably destroy your clutch and transmission, and for what?

Lamspeed hold the record at around 8.8.
 
Indeed. Its all about the fun. Not going to preserve the car for the next owner since im not going to sell it anyway and on the other hand a track day etc. adds also a lot to wear and tear to the car. Actually anything done or not done (garage queens as an example) will wear the car over time in my opinion.

Congrats to your wins. :) I did not wait to collect my prices in 2025, since its about the fun as you said. But i also won 1st and 3rd place on the last events ive attended. They classify the starter field by displacement and forced induction cars get a x1,7 malus which puts the GR Yaris in the below 3000ccm category. However, it shows how capable the platform is even if i get the usual: "the car was not build for drag racing." Following that logic only the Dodge Drag packs are build for that purpose... :D
