GR Yaris 1/18 models

The Otto model is now sold out, pretty impressive to sell 3000 in a couple of weeks I’d say!

Anybody got a clue on when we might get these? The (poor) website says “September models ship from September 16th”, but it’s far from clear what a September model is and whether the GRY is one.
 
Glad I jumped when I did. Hopefully delivery here will be a little quicker than the UK so I can give you a heads-up.
 
Yeah good to get a feeling of demand for one. Crazy to think worldwide 3000 of these models sold out so quickly, when technically there may only be 12k or so of the cars.

They’re “October Special Models” and delivery is expected from 28/10 onwards. Otto normally produces youngtimer models, so a lot of stuff from the end of the 70s to the early 2000s. They’re dipping their toes in this market for the first time with the GRY and the 208 GT. By all accounts, successfully.

How do you know its sold out? I just bought it via webshop because it was still possible.
 
I've ordered a few Otto cars over the years and always been impressed with them for the cost.
A couple of months ago the OH and I were cruising around Brittany seeing her family (as she's french) and bugger me sideways, we went past here;

So of course we had to stop! Even though it said "by appointment only" on the door, the other half wobbled some french at the lady on the desk and we were allowed to have a nose about.

Kid. In. A. Sweet. Shop.

As we weren't meant to be in there only managed a few sneaky snaps..

Probably a GOOD job I couldn't actually buy any!!!

DPD just showed up!

I think officially the spec equivalent of this model is the Japanese RZ one, except LHD. It's got the red calipers of the circuit but the interior shows the HUD hole in the dash and it has rear parking sensors from the convenience

The grill at the front is 100% real life accurate to scale. Wouldn't stop a house fly

Nice. Mine should arrive in the next few days too.
 
I've just taken delivery of this lovely model. Just need to find a nice piece of oak to mount it on. Lots of small gravel on the oak base, some greenery behind the car and finally the plaque on the front fascia
 
Nice piece of English oak ordered that still has a growing front edge (bark). It's reclaimed timber so I can sleep easy.

Once I've mounted the model on the oak plinth, I will share pictures
