3pm might be pushing it for me, might be rushing around trying to get the wheels on (praying they turn up in time). But I’ll be there eventually.
 
Just had my track time docs. They say bring the counterpart driving licence. That hasnt been in use for years. I log into the DVLA website as they suggest but there is no option to download anything.
Anyone know what it is they want? I have emailed them but no idea if i will get a reply before hand.

Just heard we are meeting an hour earlier, so probably more like 2pm! Will be good to catch up with you Ross, plenty of time to have a good old natter. Let me know when you're there. :)

I'll be trying to park with the other GR86s, I'm sure a few cars will move about before the public entry starts 👍🏼
 
Man the tickets are confusing, I think I'm printing 8 different pages and that's the bare minimum.

Setting off from North Wales in the morning. The car *might* get a wash in the morning if I have time, otherwise it's coming with 3 months of road grime on it.
 
Quick update regarding Japfest.

  • Remember to print off your vehicle pass from your Japfest account - you'll need this so that staff can direct you to our stand (it should state stand B11)
  • Arrival time is between 7-9am, quite a few of us will be there from 7am
  • If you have booked track time, you'll be able to leave the stand, go on track and then return
  • Clean cars are great, but no drama if it's dirty
  • We'll look at parking on the day, really depends on what time people arrive whether cars are parked in groups. Most likely park boot to boot at an angle, but this depends on our spot
  • Japfest mugs have arrived and for those who ordered them, they will be ready for collection on the day. Other forum trinkets including stickers, posters and mugs will be available and help to fund the forum. Their is no pressure to buy stuff, but you have the option.
  • Remember to chat with others and don't just stand by your car all day :)

Edit: Double check you have a vehicle pass linked to your account. At least 1 car was missing and the issue has been resolved, but check now whilst you still have time to resolve with Japfest. No car pass, no access to the stand.
 
Just checked the circuits weather forecast for Sunday, it's looking ok, no rain until 3pm. It's not going to be very warm though.
Looking forward to having a chat to as may of you as possible. I shall be in the bar from 1pm on Saturday, so if anyone else fancies joining me, I will be wearing a tee shirt with writing on that describes me perfectly.

I've heard when you arrive you have to take your shirt off, oil up and wrestle for the spot you want.

Atleast thats how we did it last year!?
 
I had blagged a passenger ticket in a mate's car, but that's now out of action so I'm driving ... Look out for the white Yaris interloping with the FK8 Civics 😝
