New clutch is quite light in action. Feels a bit different but easy to get used to. As the lower crossmember came out I had the alignment redone. Dropped front camber back to a touch over -2deg since I am running 245s on the road. Rear same as before maxxed out at about -2deg. My enunciation...
My clutch has started slipping. Full noise in 4, 5 or 6 once the engine gets to 3,500 the engine flares for a second or two. Time to look at clutch options. 50,000km. Some of those weren't abuse.
Hmmm. Long time no update. The V601s got a bit loose so ended up on an A3. Fitted Conti Sportcontact 7s. Best wet weather tyre I have ever used and that is currently quite relevant. Not much driving though as I am building a new touring 4wd which takes time, especially waiting on releases of...
For various reasons drove mine for the first time for about a month. As the last week or so it was parked under a gum tree I gave the car a hose off to remove leaves. Noticed both brake ducts had developed redback spider webs complete with spiders. They are no longer there.
I had toe in at the front and toe out at the rear and it was too skittish under brakes and general turn in. Same toe in front and rear and it is far more stable. Was manageable at the track but was sketchy on the road and could easily catch you out if an animal jumped onto the road etc.
That's what I saw in Hastings. Toyota here have screwed GR badges on pretty much everything mostly with some unique stuff on board. Bit like BM and M sport badges. They'd put them on a shopping trolley if it would result in a sale.
I forgot that disconnecting the battery to ensure the seats don't go bang when they are being worked on means you get...
"please obey all traffic regulations"
every 13 seconds. I can't. I can't obey traffic regulations. Arrrgggghhhhhhhh.
And now to work out how to mount the fire extinguisher...
Passenger side rails have the mechanism that releases the rails when the seat is pulled forward for access to the back seats. When you are unbolting the rails from the seats to go on the new floor mount you can remove these as well as the seat. However once you try and fit the seat on the rails...
Fitted the SWM seat lowering frames I bought while in the UK. Instructions are a bit average to be honest and the M6 screws for the sliding pads weren't in the package. I have many so that was just a minute or two getting stock from the bolt bins. Minor things but it wasn't as straight forward...
Parked it under cover due to storm warnings. And then these appeared. Hundreds if not thousands with more little ones. Very noisy. Luckily the plastic roof was well protected. Now it is silent outside.
On my trip to the airport I saw a red one! Heading towards St Leonards on sea around Bexhill. I saw another yaris with gr badges but somehow it had 4 doors. I concede there is at least one gry in England...
Us? Official data is winter lows of 10 to summer peak of 30. Reality is 0 to mid 30s. Can be hot and humid. Lots of places higher and lower than that.
This lady was on the move last month.
Harmless python, maybe 3m long so not really a big one.
