Thanks both, I had to take it to kwik fit and they used the tool. I did actually see the image above and had given that a go but no good. Only cost £39 to get them re-linked which is better than having my pants pulled down like Toyota would have done.
Hey all,
Had aftermarket wheels with no TPMS on them for just under a year. Just re-fitted my stock wheels but I can't work out how to get the car to read the pressures.
I've driven it for like half hour and nothing got picked up, the only difference is now where the TPMS light would always...
Not at the minute, the place I was getting them fitted seemed convinced they'd be corroded on so didn't want to try them. I'll need to take my OEM wheels somewhere in the future to get the old tyres removed so I can have a crack at taking them off.
At the moment, on start up the little orange...
Sorry just seen this, they are Hyper Silver and I got them from Torque GT. Depending how the light catches them they go from being a kind of quasi-chrome silver to quite a dark silver.
Finally got and fitted my NT03RR's on Saturday, thanks for all the help from the people on here given I was asking some pretty stupid questions.
17*8 ET48. Pilot Sport 5's (225/45/17). It might be a placebo but the road noise doesn't seem as bad with these so far.
Need to lower the car a bit...
If I don’t swap the TPMS off the oem wheels, the warning light is just one of the small lights right and doesn’t hide the vehicle information like it does when it thinks the pressure is low?
Edit: just checking as Toyota have quoted £702 and my first born for another set plus coding…
Cheers that's really appreciated.
I know what you mean about the Facebook groups, they don't really give as much back as a forum as they always just end up with people arguing.
I went for Enkei NT03RR's in Hyper Silver.
How do you tell which ones are going to stick out loads compared to the ones that sit like OEM ones? I'm glad this part of the internet (owners forums) has managed to stand the test of time and not die like most things have as well online.
Thanks for the prompt reply! Should I just buy some aftermarket ones to play it safe? It wasn't done out of being tight, I just didn't think of it until after I ordered them. :D
Just to add and really highlight how much I am a newbie when it comes to changing the wheels on a car.
I ended up going for the 17x8 ET48, will I be OK using the stock bolts or should I be getting something aftermarket?
Thanks and apologies for the stupid question, I know I've brought shame...
I do plan on adjusting the suspension at some point, but it would only be marginal as I've never been one for low lows and always favoured something more performance orientated.
Part of me is liking the idea of the 17's as the brakes won't look so lost in the wheel and I could maybe get a bit...
I'm looking to get some new wheels for the car but I'm not really sure what I should be looking for or considering. I know the wheel I want to get, Enkei NT03rr but I think I want to get one of the 3 following options:
17x8 ET48
18x8 ET45
18x8.5 ET42
I assume all of those size will fit no...
Sorry if this has already been asked in here, had a skim and couldn't see.
How much does it cost to get the oil changed at Toyota? I just asked my local and they said 315 which I'm sure is just the price of a service...
I know I should do it myself given that it's fairly simple on these cars...
Does the JDM version of the car have a different startup animation? I was watching some videos on YouTube and it looked like rather than the GR logo i was the old style 86 logo from the previous gen car. I'll see if I can find the video again to post here.
Was curious if it was something we...
