These are a proper Nordic winter tyre, extremely soft rubber compound. Basically with use in dolomites if you drive into lower altitudes or cities in northern Italy you may run into trouble with the law in studs and definitely in other surrounding countries I guess? They don’t really work that...
Will get these fitted in my new braids with new tpms week after next. First frost hit Estonia this week but daily temps still a bit too high to fit winters yet.
I wish I spoke welsh, would of loved to hear his unbiased commentating.. Howard is a national treasure. When Solberg crashed you could see Elfyn was hesitant to celebrate at first as I think he would have wanted to win without a crash but Gwyndaf on the other hand was first to be jumping for...
Ordered the New Nokian Hakkapellitta 01 in 205 50 R17 for my new Braid winter wheels. Adaptive studs - retract into tyre on warmer winter days, on colder winter days the studs expand out of the tyre and into ice. Will be interesting to see how these work.
Low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) seems to be one of the main issues for engines failing. In fact one local to me went bang this week with this fault - Rod bearings left the chat. Car was approx 35,000km Gen1. Regular servicing with the right oil, driving habits, letting engine warm properly before...
Bimecc make them in 19mm hex and 21mm hex versions.
I bought the 21mm hex - Bimecc D70. Better than the Evo Corse ones I had before and were like €1 per nut locally
Just let me know when you upload them, that would be ace, Would ideally like to strip car down on axle stands in next few weeks and give it a little clean up and touch up with some Bilt Hamber Dynax UC. They look like quality tools!
Upper gearbox mount after 50,000 with light pulling away and reverse.. way more movement under hard acceleration. Can see how soft it’s gone. Guessing it’s even ovalised at this point.
Just going through all this myself at the minute. December 2023 build car should have updated gearbox mount. After 50,000km of daily city driving and many heat cycles I believe the standard rubber torque and engine mounts have got way to soft. I was feeling a lot of vibration under load and...
My GR Yaris is night and day different from what it was. Smoother idle, smoother throttle response and now pulls like a train. I got my GR Yaris back to how it was new. Will give it an Italian tune up on the motorway tonight to get some heat in it after lots of dailying in it. The OEM Denso...
